i sure wish somebody could tell me what completing the mission would involve.
are we still waiting for a flourishing democracy serving as a beacon to the rest of the middle east? is this dickhead really going to keep our troops over there until he leaves office?

What's a few hundred more dead soldiers compared to his library. Besides, who elected Baker? We're facing our own internal Bush vs Bush war.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

It's all about his ego. In Bush's fantasy world, he still believes that the war can be "won".

goddamnit. I edit a perfectly funny post because it was inappropriate (nothing to do with kids, btw) and now I'm a child predator. fanfuckingtastic. Let's get back to the topic - Someone please arrest the president.

I know that most of these Cosmo-haters believe I am a Bush-hater, therefore a Liberal. Let me try again to put this all to rest.
    ...
I supported Bush in the days and weeks after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
I thought having a 'War Administration' was a good thing... since, we were basically put into War.
I supported and continue to support the Afghanistan Campaign against the Taliban.
    ...
Here are my grievences with the Bush Administration:
    -Iraq.
-Hussein had been rendered impotent by his overwhelming defeat in 1991.
-Sanctions and No-Fly Zones restricted him and he was unable to project any threat to his neighbors.
-The 'Job' in Afghanistan wasn't completed.
-The lies about Hussein and his abilities to develop a major weapons program. This would mean that our intelligence officers and Air Force crews were idiots... I don't buy that and never did.
-Once in Iraq, we never deployed the number of troops needed for an occupation. Yeah, we can kick their Republican Guard asses with 150,000 Marines and Rangers, but we need twice that if we're going to be setting up camp.
-The whole 'Mission:Accomplished' thing... doesn't that mean the Job is Done? Turning our soldier into cops was the worst thing to do to them.
-Not having enough troops means we play 'Whack An Insurgent'... they are in Fallujah, so we go there and let them escape with the refugees to Mosul where they start shit. So, we go to Mosul and let them escape with the refugees to Al anbar where they start shit...
-We allow the Shi'ites to maintain an armed militia... because, these were the poor, oppressed Iraqis and needed protection from the bad Sunnis. Now we've got fucking al Sadr to deal with.
-Trainning Iraqis to build quantities of forces, instead of taking the time to build a quality force. Rumsfeld boasting about the increasing number of Iraqi Security Forces, but not one U.S. Division is sent home.
-Increasing the bill to 500 Billion taxpayer dollars that get lost and unaccounted for by the hundreds of millions... yet, people at home bitch about Katrina 'victims' spending 300 bucks on a Gucci purse.
-The Whole 'Army you've got' thing. Way to 'Support Our Troops'. You tell me that the United States cannot scrape up 150,000 Kevlar Vests?
-Cutting the Veteran's Benefits. These guys and their families are the only Americans suffering from this War... the rest of us are making ZERO sacrifices. Take care of them... even if they got their injuries in a traffic accident in Baghdad. Baghdad is a Warzone. Pay the guy, he fucking deserves it.
-The damage all this have created with our Allies. Our 'Coalition Of The Willing' is now a 'Coalition Of Those Who Still Owe Us A Bunch Of Money'. They were never really willing... more like coerced and bribed.
-The possible damage done to the Presidency regarding War Powers... next time authorization for 'Use Of Force' is requested... will Congress dick around because of what happened last time they granted it? What if Time IS really is the Essence in that case... will the old fucks in Congress argue and debate while the enemy advances?
-Katrina... after 3 days of it being broadcast 24/7 on our airwaves... "We are just becoming aware of the situation"... Mr. President, turn on a fucking T.V. ALL the stations were reporting it. If you can't figure out how the remote works... pick up a fucking newspaper.
-2,600 Dead Americans... casualties in the tens of thousands and countless Iraqi Civilians killed.
    ...
Then there's all the filthy election tricks that leads Americans to believe that the greatest threat to our freedom is Lance Bass marrying Doogie Howser, that Navy Bronze Stars and Purple Hearts are meaningless trinkets because the military hands them out to anyone that asks for one, for scaring us into allowing the increasing government to intrude into our private affairs and telling us that if we are against our war, we are against our country.
    ...
Those are just some of the reasons why I don't like Bush. If they are unfounded... then, I guess I AM a Bush-hater. I think at least some of my grievences are valid. I don't hate Bush for who he is... i hate what he has done to my country and my military.

It's already complete. George made that abundantly clear when he landed a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier off the coast of California...big banner said "Mission Accomplished"

You mean to tell me that was a bunch of doodoocaca?
  • the mission is complete dude..........IT was like 3 year's ago.We toppelled a dictator and brought democracy rto Iraq an defeted their army.now all we have to do is defeat the terrorrist's.Yea its gonna take a long time.Yea more people are gonna die, that's part of war.we have to accept it.I think that we'll be in Iraq for year's.like we are still in germany and the faulk land's.

the war is won.now we need to win the peace. It aint gonna be easy but we can do it.Have faith
    I’d thank my lucky stars,
    to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Why are the lives of the U.S. soldiers more valuable than the many, many, many more lives that would be lost if the U.S. just cut and run? To me, a life is a life. If more people - no matter who they are - will die by us leaving, then I say we stay.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
