and all this "big deal, so what" talk is irresponsible to say the least.

If you want to at LEAST acknowledge that there are some MAJOR concerns here, but you STILL don't want a bail out passed, maybe we can come to terms.

But this richeous attitude like there is no big hub bub is just flat shameful.

I think that he would have took some flack, but that might have been his last real chance to distance himself from Obama on a big issue. Unless something drastic happens, I can't see him turning his campaign around.

GE COULD NOT GET CREDIT, PERIOD.

They had to SELL STOCK.
APPLES AND ORANGES.

ALL GE SHAREHOLDERS TOOK IT IN THE ASS, BECAUSE THE CREDIT MARKETS ARE SO TIGHT. They got a SHIT DEAL a real SHIT DEAL with Warren Buffent ... selling him 3 billion of their company, and screwing every other share holder. ALL BECAUSE OF THE CREDIT MARKETS.

Not only that, but the insurance on their business operations is going up because of it, BECAUSE THEIR RISK OF FAILING AS A COMPANY JUST WENT UP.

So ask yourself how fucking great it is that, because the banks have a bullshit system (the Fed) which fucks the economy, now "innocent" (and BTW i think GE is a shit elitist institution that feeds wars) corporations with thousands of employees are on the precipe of collapse, just because the credit markets are frozen.

AT&T literally DOES NOT KNOW WHERE THEIR MONEY IS GOING TO COME FROM ON A DAILY BASIS, because THEY CAN ONLY ROLL OVEREIGHT PERCENT OF THEIR SHORT TERM PAPER ON ANY GIVEN DAY right now.

The rest they are pulling out of their ass, going long term, or taking shit rates, or paying out of pocket -- all of which cramps their operations. Think about it, if your credit company cancels your card, and you are forced to start using your bank account, your options shrink drastically. Now think about if you are a business trying to actually DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE.

And you are going to sit here and give me some bullshit smug remark about how thats just how the cookie crumbles, or maybe these companies should have saved for a rainy day or some bullshit excuse.
