We've had people pander to the Chicken Little crowd in every era. The end of the world is coming. The sky is falling. From the left and from the right, economic collapse, nukes, climate change, the 2nd coming of Jesus & the Rapture, etc... I used to feel bad watching these groups pick on the emotionally vulnerable, but now I think it is funny. If you are counting down the end of days, why go on? End it now and get it over with. Otherwise, sit back, shut up and enjoy the ride.

i see a few of you dismissing this as a joke.

i myself do not think having approx 20,000 nuclear weapons stockpiled and ready for use is that funny. i think it is actually quite fucking dangerous. we are assembling the means to our own end. i do not want to leave this mess for my children to clean up.

now go back to your self comfort and denial, while the nukes remain, and war is the diplomacy of the day. your apathy and false optimism dont really bother me, because i undertand most humans are just not capable of grasping the larger picture.

o.k., since I have read about this clock, there is one song not going out of my head anymore.

The clock is just an easy way for nuclear scientists to remind and warn us of this danger. Its their duty to do so. Then, who doesn't want to listen is free not to listen, so if you're not interested in this danger, why the hell you continue to post in this thread? We understood very well that you don't give a f*** about the nuclear danger, you said it in many ways, and you keep posting silly things about important issues like this, it just doesn't make sense.... probably you just don't have any better idea or any better way to spend your time, I guess.

a PJ song came to my head - marker in the sand - (my favourite of the avocado, I guess)
