Well, you have to have a plan just in case something does happen. If you don't have a plan, bad things happen...like civil unrest, civilian death, civil war, insurgencies, u.s. soldier deaths...you know...iraq.

  • C'mon Eva, the BBC is a commie rag and is not to be trusted. It has obvious sympathies with the enemy.

Oh, by the way...I was so impressed with the Italians who protested the expansion of the American base there. Fuck American expansion, they have something like 100 + bases around the globe. Its clearly not about defence.

I think he made a very valid point and didn't bitch at all
  • I think he made a very valid point and didn't bitch at all

Right, nor did I accuse him of bitching in that post.

All he said is there was no plan for Iraq, which doesn't even come close to bitching

To say there was no plan for Iraq is like saying people aren't bitching about Iraq because there was no plan.

Poorly planned, maybe. No plan? That's something a liberal would say.

well, it was something really unbelievable... 200.000 people marching against a US base, *IN ITALY*, small conservative Vicenza, never happened even in any communist country, ahaha!!!
It was so embarrassing for prime minister Prodi that they just tried to minimize it all just saying how good it was that there was no incident... ahah

...speaking of defence, usually from vicenza us fighters get off to go to afghanistan
  • Ya, but Italians are big when it comes to protests, non ? I remember when they had that worldwide day of protest against Iraq, and the Italians had some of the largest protests that day.....millions of people throughout Italy.

One day i will travel to Italy and see the country. I've always felt like I was european at heart, but have never been there.

If we invade Iran, we deserve whatever we get.
  • Most countries have contingency plans for dealing with their adversaries well in advance of hostilities. There is probably a contingency plan somewhere in the Pentagon for a conflict with China, Russia, Iran, and everyone else on the list.

We've been in Iran's ass for so long that an invasion should be expected. However, when all of the terrorists of the world set their sites on Americans, we'll have only ourselves to blame...and it won't stop.

We're fucking with people who have nothing but attention span...while here in America we have everything but. You're talking about people who have fought battles against eachother for over a thousand years...for far less.

When America invades Iran, it better be ready to use the bomb again, because that might be the only thing that will stop the global jihad that will ensue. :(

In Eastern Europe, ya know the most recent people we freed from tyrany, will be happy to host our bases. Just ask Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, The Czech Republic, all brought to you courtesy of the US armed forces...Were looking for greatful allies. Not back stabbing ones...

Youd rather have London, Moscow or Paris lead you around?

then it's good the US doesn't have to actually consider itself an ally isn't it? :p:D

Dont get your panties all in a bunch. We are in no position to invade Iran or to mount an attack. We'd require about 200,000 more troops. Attack on the nuclear plants are probably now not possible politically. So relax.

No. I'd rather have a government with some backbone.
