Generally the idealists and pretenders whether they want to admit it or not are out of the race....

Who are you supporting now that's still left in it and why?

What issues are most important to you.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    Obama

    1) War in Iraq

    2) Healing a country that hasn't been this divided in forty years

    3) Feeling pride in the highest office in our land.

    4) Economy, health care, education.

Good stuff, I think a lot of one through three will be helped with actual diplomacy and dialog. Imagine that.

I'm on the Obama bandwagon too... And more so for big picture reasons of diplomacy and just having someone if office who will reflect positively on our country.

It will do wonders for us to have an optimistic president, who instead of irritating everyone foreign and domestic, can bring together and even inspire people.

Even most conservatives seem to like Obama, and while they disagree with him on a lot of issues, at least he will sit down and listen to their views concerns. He was elected as president Harvard Law Review with support from the conservatives because of his even-handed and respectful approach.

  • Obama and McCain...not affiliated with the parties so I haven't decided yet. it's going to come down to who is nominated.

issues that are important to me are environmental policy, fiscal policy, and social/human rights.

I'm certain it will end up McCain vs. Clinton and I'll be casting my ballot for neither. I'll be voting Libertarian again.

I think Obama has a real shot at the first 3. As BRY said, he is reasonable and respectful. I think he would help bring back some missing pride and whittle away the animosity that has been built up abroad.
