    Is easy to get carried away on death penalty, abortion, religion etc.

    As you, I've thought about those extreme cases as well.....like the guy at Fort Hood that shot all the soldiers. My dad was stationed there, I sold newspapers to soldiers in same area, worked at a bowling alley on base close to where he killed those folks. It was personal for me...not my family members mind you. But it always comes back to few things for me. First killing is wrong, no matter who does it for what ever reason. Lock em up for life without possiblity of parole. Second, you never want to give the government the power to silence. The CIA can get a clear, cut and dry case on YOU and then permanently silence you. Let alone all the innocent people that are currently on death row.

    What do we, as a society, really gain by killing? Sure humans are decimating this planet but...as a social matter it hurts more than it helps.

    There, another post without sounding demeaning....will this catch on. :mrgreen::mrgreen:
