How did Pelosi and Reid get their leadership positions

I am a democrat, and I can't stand either of them. Maybe behind the scenes they work well to get votes or whatever, but as soon as one of them opens their mouth I want to smack them.

    i used to be a leftist democrat till one day i decided to start educating myself on politics and the workings of these "people" in Washington and i realized after much reading that they are all on the same team,controlled by the same people and don't give 2 shits about the working class people in this country.

    Nancy Pelosi probably just turned in the worst week of leadership I've ever seen on the national scene.

    Just awful.

    You're trying to curry votes from one side of the aisle ... so you berate them from the bully pupit of the speaker's chair? Nice going.
    everybody wants the most they can possibly get
    for the least they could possibly do

    while I agree, Pelosi is not doing a very good job, I do find it funny that some in the House such thin skin...
