Appointment for vice president?

For sake of discussion....
I'm going out on a limb and predicting that Cheney will step down at some point this year. Between his ever-growing unpopularity, and more importantly what is coming out in the Libby trial, I think Cheney will resign, whether it's after the trial, or 6 months from now because of "health reasons".
I was trying to think who Bush would appoint to replace him, and I can't think of anyone that will a) want to me associate with this President and all of the political baggage that goes along with it, and b) would be able to be confirmed by congress.
Any thoughts?

That was my first guess too, but thinking about how she got grilled by the senate foreign relations committee, I don't think that she could get confirmed.
