I'm not all that surprised actually. I'd like to know why they think they are owed anything other than a verbal apology.
  • wow....

and what a piece of shit lawyer too. if something like this even goes to court, i will lose what little faith i have left in our justice system

fuck those crybabies! they didn;t sound too upset when they threatened kramer.
those undecided, needn't have faith to be free

this is simply a mix of history, and assholes.
i've seen chris rock say worse. I think kramer was using Rocks definition of nigger towards them.
what really hurts is how kramer brought up how blacks were treated in the past, unfortunately thats what happened
all 3 of these guys acted like assholes.
Im sure the guys were extremely disruptive and not showing any respect to where they were.
Kramer cracked and said very stupid things.
    This is top notch entertainment.
This doesn't really bother me much, i find it funny actually.
get over it, racism holds no weight in big societys anymore
get over it, racist people are assholes that can't change thier lives anymore
I really don't believe kramer is a racist, he just snaped and rudley brought up the bad black history and shoved it in thier face.
Then again, maybe racism isn't dead?. I truley believe it is. Then again, i am only me....
damn, now i reminisce of the 2004 election and hurricane katrina... fuck, racist people really do suck.. i guess i can feel these guy's pain.
but to sue? stupid, but it does mean more media time.
we don't want war, but we still want more?

    geee......what a surprise.
  • Yeah- Kramer is a total asshole. "At the end of the day I will still be rich and you'll still be a N*****" is despicable and I hope he loses all his money and has to turn to gay prostitution to eat and pay rent. BUT stop looking for handouts, it's embarrassing.
The less you know, the more you believe.

Right or wrong, they are doing what the legal system allows.......we need to change the laws.

Hate the game, not the player!

I am not suggesting that they are really justified digging for money here, but our society allows for such actions.

As soon as people realize that they should live their lives based on right vs. wrong, as opposed to what the "system" allows, we will all be better-off!

“We want the retired judge to make a recommendation on how much Michael Richards should pay to compensate our clients,” added Allred.

perhaps they could have Judge Judy hear the case...

...and it gets even more absurd:

They need a retired judge and the possibility of a cash settlement, for this crap?

These four black men are making complete asses out of themselves. Richards already did that the night it happened, and those four black men certainly behaved in the same exact manner as Richards, when they responded in kind.

Oh yeah, this is ALL about money. If any of these four guys had even the slightest bit of honesty and integrity, they would either accept Richard's apology and move on, or simply speak their minds to Richard and be done with it. No money.

Wish I could get my hands on a copy of the whole video from that night and hear exactly what the hecklers initially said to Richards. I find it interesting that portion of the video continues to be excluded.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/12/01/ap/entertainment/mainD8LO6KBG0.shtml

" (AP) Michael Richards will apologize in person to the four black men he targeted in a tirade of racial slurs during a recent comedy club performance.

A retired judge will mediate the meeting and determine whether he should take any other action to resolve the matter, Richards' spokesman and an attorney for the men said Friday.

A cash settlement could be part of the resolution, said Howard J. Rubenstein, who represents Richards.

"My client Michael hopes to put it behind him," Rubenstein said.

A time and place for the meeting has not been set.

Rubenstein complimented attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing the four comedy club patrons, for recommending the meeting.

Allred said Richards should meet with her clients "to hear the pain that he inflicted on them and to apologize to them."

She and the four men were scheduled to hold a press conference later Friday.

Richards, who played the wacky neighbor Kramer on 'Seinfeld,' has been on a campaign of contrition since videotaped footage of his Nov. 17 outburst at the Laugh Factory nightclub surfaced on the Web site TMZ.com.

He has apologized on the Rev. Jesse Jackson's nationally syndicated radio program "Keep Hope Alive" and the "Late Show with David Letterman." He also apologized to civil rights leader the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Richards has said the tirade was fueled by anger at being heckled and not bigotry. "

    Yes.

And you're damned right that they should get paid....

The price of admission to the comedy show. Because obviously there wasn't a whole lot of comedy.

    And that's all.

Bur since apologies aren't worth shit....only money can possibly heal those wounds. It's the universal salve.
