What's with this "they can't form their own opinions" shit! That is complete fucking BULLSHIT! You want to hear my opinion on the matter??? I think in most cases politically centered people have more balls than people on the far right or left.

Just because you are politically balanced, DOESN'T mean you aren't taking strong opinion on particular issues. I think people in the middle ground have way MORE balls than someone on the far right or left, by being able to form their own opinions on different issues rather than viewing a particular issue one way because they are already affiliated with a certain part of the political spectrum.

Now I lean more left than right, but feel VERY strong about my opinion on the issues. If you can't see how someone could be centered then you're living in a fucked up brainwashed world.

Have you ever heard the term "radical centrists"???

Yeah, well get used to the idea that far right conservatives and far left liberals are swimming in their own shit!

Peace out!

I read that as well and it bothered me for about one billionth of a second and then I realized that most people who are to either extreme usually are just following the herd. They are usually the ones who cannot formulate an opinion and simply take the opinion thrown out by their party as their own. Most American can probably be classified as middle of the road.

Awesome....so aparently no one can form their own opinion then?

GUess what? Some of those extremists having actually become extremist because they formed their own opinion and agree with the extremist.

I get what you are saying though...it is easier to just agree with someone that is passionate about something and then ...WAM...all of a sudden, without your choosing, you are now an extremist.

We all know that they only people that can't form their own opinions are those around here that just spew out what Eddie has already bitten and chewed up for them. ;)

I'm sure they do have their own valid opinions. I'm just defending my opinions because I've been accused of "fence-sitting" and doing "what ever is popular". Thats an insult on my own beliefs and doesn't properly explain why I'm politically balanced.

I've been in heated arguements with the far right, just as much as the far left.

Your right I shouldn't have judged those with extremeist beliefs, but it sort of pissed me off seeing someone write that centrist can't really formulate their own opinion. Why is it that you either have to be all the way to the right or all the way to the left?

Yeah, I know, I was only messing with ya.

So, when someone asks you..."How's it hanging?" How often do you say..down the middle? Not often...gotta pick...can't be neutral on a moving train. ;)

    Just messing again.

For me, on almost every issue I do take a strong stand. I leave open the possibilty to change my opinion if I get more info, etc., but right at that moment, whatever I believe, I try to believe it 100%.

But then again...I'm not just a 'fence siter' ;)

I think that "neutral" quote is referring to the people that just don't care about the issues. Politically I'm pretty neutral leaning towards the left, but on the particular issues, I do take strong stance.

Well usually I just point to me mid thigh and say to right about there.
