wtc7 collapsed

for the third time in history
fire brought down a steel building
reducing it to rubble

hold on folks
here we go

• The fires in WTC 7 were not evenly distributed, so a perfect collapse was impossible.
• Silverstein said to the fire department commander “the smartest thing to do is pull it.”
• Firefighters withdrawing from the area stated the building was going to “blow up”.
• The roof of WTC 7 visibly crumbled and the building collapsed perfectly into its footprint.
• Molten steel and partially evaporated steel members were found in the debris.

[WTC 7] contained offices of the FBI, Department of Defense, IRS (which contained prodigious amounts of corporate tax fraud, including Enron’s), US Secret Service, Securities & Exchange Commission (with more stock fraud records), and Citibank’s Salomon Smith Barney, the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management and many other financial institutions. [Online Journal]

The SEC has not quantified the number of active cases in which substantial files were destroyed [by the collapse of WTC 7]. Reuters news service and the Los Angeles Times published reports estimating them at 3,000 to 4,000. They include the agency’s major inquiry into the manner in which investment banks divvied up hot shares of initial public offerings during the high-tech boom. …”Ongoing investigations at the New York SEC will be dramatically affected because so much of their work is paper-intensive,” said Max Berger of New York’s Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann. “This is a disaster for these cases.” [New York Lawyer]

Citigroup says some information that the committee is seeking [about WorldCom] was destroyed in the Sept. 11 terror attack on the World Trade Center. Salomon had offices in 7 World Trade Center, one of the buildings that collapsed in the aftermath of the attack. The bank says that back-up tapes of corporate emails from September 1998 through December 2000 were stored at the building and destroyed in the attack. [TheStreet]

Inside [WTC 7 was] the US Secret Service’s largest field office with more than 200 employees. …”All the evidence that we stored at 7 World Trade, in all our cases, went down with the building,” according to US Secret Service Special Agent David Curran. [TechTV]

I'm wondering if pull could have meant to pull out of the building because it's a lost cause....

however it fell like Bush's popularity rating...straight down and freefall..

The firemen had been out of the building for an hour or so before he gave the order to pull it.

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, he he, ha ha,
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young

I heard that song on my little transistor radio when i was 8 years old. There used to be some show on late at night dedicated to weirdness; that may have even been the theme song. Great entertainment for an 8-year-old who was supposed to be in bed sleeping.

It could have been a reassurance statement that it was the right thing to do instead of risking more lives... like should we pull out? Pull out could have been the catch term to describe the act like of not fighting the fires. like yeah pull the building. The building is over no plans to save it. In that times communication was shot so people would speak in generalizations or simple communication trends and orders. The buildings a pull. Pull the building, it's over. What do we do go back in....no pull the building. I wouldn't base any hard judgment on the word pull. Chaos was rampant that day people people tend to talk in strange ways and say strange things. But yeah it's odd the entire thing was unprecedented. Hard one for me to come to a conclusion on or use as hard evidence.

I wouldn't say "chaos was rampant". Sure, to we TV viewers it looked like that, but those firemen were there to do a job like any other. In fact, looking at all the videos of the firemen in action that day shows that they were more intent on doing the job at hand than anything else.

I think they saw two towers come down and already had some lumps in their pants.

I still think pull could have been a codeword for action. It's a pull, stay out, do not intervene...I repeat pull the building. Do we know how many times the term pull was used? I guess that could clear up the use of the word.

Hey frank what up on #7...

    it's a pull

some would say well we can't just sit here and watch it....double check with HQ on what to do

the building's a pull....I repeat pull the building.

All that pull business aside the thing fell like saddam on rope day so..hmm

Something not right about the entire thing.

Something isn't right, but the fact is, is that as far as the firemen are considered, the fight was "pulled" 45 minutes or an hour before he gave the order to "pull" it.

I loved my first little transistor 9v battery radio at that age...and the walkie talkies...oh man take me back to those times when life was a one long daydream and everything was new, and anything could be whatever you pretended it was playing with friends.

I want to see that guy take the stand and answer questions about for a few days. Along with several others.

Now that would be the OJ trial on steroids for 2007!

The owner Silverstein? He's answered the criticism to some degree, very weakly. I don't have the link....

Yeah that dude...I want to see him sweat in a seat under extensive cross examination with multiple witnesses. And televise the heck out of it.

It would make for really excellent TV, but ultimately could cause much societal mayhem. They have to get something official on public record besides the FEMA or whatever reports that were all done privately by gov't employees.

I don;t know if there's benefit to doing it, but the other side of me says hell yeah let's go....the 911 trial of 2008!

slight exaggeration but people would be more at odds then they are now. Nation divided. Like picking open and old would while making new ones.

I suppose the political potential for that is there, but people's desire for some kind of truth outweigh's that risk, I think.

    It signed off without you?

Yeah, I've spent months pouring throught this stuff in great detail. I've probably read every page or document and discussion on it. It's all pretty fucked up.

There's sooooooooooooooooo so many coincidences and inconsistencies surrounding that day it almost screams at you.

Strange things are afoot at the circle K. I think they (obviously) knew it was coming and people helped it all along more than just a little.

Both sides in cahoots to be more precise. It was co-ordinated and planned all around.

don't have time to get into the debate, but here in Boston we have this popular radio talk show host, Jay Severin, who makes racist, xenophobic, gay-bashing and sexist comments on a minute-by-minute basis, and no one in the media ever calls for him to be fired.

it seems rather than debate Rosie, or even treat her like a human being, some people would rather just take away her voice.
