does anyone else think this is ridiculous?

    At least she was able to get the sentence reduced. Many others are not so lucky - mandatory minimums have eliminated any chance for reduction in sentences based on the facts of the case.
    But who cares - at least our legislators are tough on crime!

    I threw a lit cigarette in a car that cut me off one time.



    I was on a motorcycle and was pissed. Asshole could've killed me.

    Well I am not sure.. I know I don't want people throwing large plastic glasses filled with ice at me when I am driving. That is a serious offense.

    Sooo, which side are you agreeing w/, lol. While it is extremely frustrating when people weave in and out of traffic and cut you off and often worth giving them the finger, i'm not condoning throwing shit at/in other people's vehicles. At the same time, what she did is definetely not worth two years in jail!!

    One question though...you were smoking and riding a bike?! Isn't that kinda difficult?

    Neither would i, but would you want to send them to jail for a couple years for it? I'd definetely want some sort of punishment but not that.

    I'm thinking the sentence was over the top.


    I can eat a steak dinner, pay some bills and chain smoke an entire pack while working a clutch.

    That and it's pretty easy when you first get going if you already have a smoke lit. :)

    Yes, it is serious, but jail time? I could see some fines and and anger management/road rage class, but that's about it.
