I've made up my mind and have decided that neither party will get my vote. I dislike both sides and feel why vote this time around.

You should vote third party then. That's like saying look, I want to be involved but your parties don't want me. It's a good idea and also you know its always good to vote on the other things on the ballot too.
    Be excellent to each other

Yea the local stuff I'll vote on but I'm passing on voting for president.

I know exactly what you are saying, man. They are all so fucked up. Instead of doing what handlers tell them to will one of them for once just take a position and stick to it. They aren't going to please everyone anyways.

I had this same feeling after Kucinich dropped out and neither one of these three stooges will get my vote either. Maybe Nader but I will vote just not in the Presidential SElection.

I gather to propel him forward, I still don't like it but what other choice did he have?

Well, he's good friends with Ron Paul.

He could've man-ed up and said "Fuck partisan politics. Ron Paul has more intergrity than all of these stooges. Vote for him!"

um, thats great and all but he DID endorse Obama

The question was "what other choice did he have?"
    i gave that answer.

The fact that Kucinich didn't have the balls to endorse a friend who he knows to be an honest and respectable public servant, and instead chose to play safe for his career by endorsing ole barack only speaks to Kucinich's character, not to Paul's.

    you guys are something else...

everything has an alterior motive

maybe, just maybe, he actually endorsed Obama because he thinks he is a good candidate? i highly doubt he endorsed Obama to further his political career

Kucinich and Paul are night and day on most policies and issues

Well many of us don't. Why is it so hard for you to understand that just because
some of us may have supported a person that it doesn't mean we have to follow their every move and agree with 100% of what they say?

It's funny I start this thread declaring that I'm not voting cause IMO both parties have worthless fucking people running. What a shocker people replying with who they like. Great glad that you have who you like. Good luck and may the best man or woman win. I'm sitting this one out. lol :D

Please vote. There must be some individual who closely represents your views of how the country should be run. Even if they are not on your ballot - Have a voice, write in your choice.

Nah, I know how he feels... I felt the exact same in the last Irish election... I eventually DID decide (our elections are completely different anyway... you vote for your local TD... usually cos of their local committments and not cos of party affiliation... and whichever party has the most number of TD's, their leader becomes Taoiseach, which is kinda equivilent to your president... so I voted for the socialist guy but he lost marginally :( ) but I know how it feels for them to all leave you feeling a little bit empty... if you think they're all the same, why pick ONE?

I agree it speaks to his character to endorse who he felt was the best option.

Had I felt trapped into voting Republicrat or Demican, I might have sat this one out. Instead, I joined the Libertarian Party because it espouses a 16 page, single space , platform ( as of 2006) that most closely mirrors my views. Definitively a breath of fresh air for me. I'll b voting Libertarian, though I do wish Dr. Mary Ruwart was on the ticket.

Isn't he up for re-election? Usually not endorsing your party's candidate for president is not seen as a good strategic move for re-election. ;)
