The fact that the Milwaukee Newspaper has said very little about what happened last week. It's made national news and the officials here in town think there isn't a problem at all. Fucking sad IMO.

I'll give the guy credit for taking that beating without complaint. I like the fact that despite what happened to him, he still said positive things about the folks who live in the neighborhood where he caught his beating. There was a thread in AET in which Juneteenth mob beatings were discussed. It doesn't just happen in Milwaukee. A passenger in a car that hit a youth was beaten to death in Texas. The criminal element that attends these festivals ruin it for the people who are going there to celebrate freedom and work towards ending violence in that specific minority community. The ghetto culture celebrated in film, videos and music is detrimental when people view it not as a commentary on how fucked up everything is and instead use it as a text book on how to be a man. I'll track down that Junetheeth thread and post it.

Check the comments on the video to see how far our society has evolved.

 I couldn't believe those comments.

Your shocked by the comments? Where have you been under a rock? When I first saw the video I didn't think it was my home city. Milwaukee's Northside is getting worse all the time. And it's fucking sad we have a police department that is no help. Starting with the chief.
