My Take...

Are we supposed to feel sorry for this guy? We're all in the same boat! My last paycheck took $500+ out for taxes! I'm a 24 year old college graduate with a job that pays me 44K/per year (before taxes) and I struggle to cope with the amount of money that I never see in my check. Times are tough, but I don't complain. I think of new ways to save and use my money wisely. This guy has 12 siblings. None of them have jobs that allow them to send some money home? It astounds me how people (immigrants) complain about a country that has given millions opportunity they would have never had. (I realize he isn't complaining, but CNN is doing it for him)

Maybe we should blame Mexico? Why is their system not helping this man's father? If he were in San Diego he would have free health care paid for by the state.

Mexicans should migrate back to Mexico and take back their own country from the cartels and corrupt leadership that has been sucking the blood of the people for the last 50 years instead of blaming an overflowing US system.

Classic. The article clearly states he is a legal immigrant, yet all the comments in the article are complaints about how illegal Mexican immigrants are destroying the US... Just pathetic. It's his money, he can damn well send it wherever he wants, or burn it if that's his choice.

Pretty damn beautiful huh? And those comments most likely came from children of immigrants... Let's not forget that most of the lands that these Mexican immigrants (legal or illegal) are populating used to be theirs. Funny how our imperialism (sorry, manifest destiny) supersedes anything else we supposedly believe in.

Americans use immigrants as scape goats. Always have, apparently always will. You just keep an eye on all the terrorists down there just waiting to come across the border and kill us...
When Jesus said "Love your enemies" he probably didn't mean kill them...

Wait I live in San Diego, do I have free health care paid by the state? And if it's paid by the state, why would he have to live in San Diego, wouldn't this free health care be available state wide?

My take is stop telling Mexicans what to do. Nobody told our grandparents or great grandparents not to emigrate here, why all of a sudden do all the Mexicans have to go home? The history of immigration relations in this country is a good read. Really sheds light on what we're doing to the Mexicans now. Cyclical...

I'm not telling the Mexicans what to do. I'm saying that if our system doesn't work for you....Go to Mexico and fix the system you fled.

And yes...Plenty of free health care goes out everyday. Health care that our taxes pay for. Why doesn't Mexico tax their working class to be able to do the same thing.

It angers me that all the flaws in our system are complained about when the systems that these people are leaving don't even attempt to provide for these people!

Are you saying that we should let the borders fly open as some sort of reparations?

You act like the imperialism was a practice invented in America....

Didn't we win that land after we kicked their collective butts in a thing called WAR?

I can see why they don't want to live in that third world country but it doesn't mean you need to bring your garbage here. Boo-hoo he can't send money there.

    Anyone have a REAL problem?
