Dearest Sean,

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that these are the people you should be supporting in Venezuela.

Hugo Chavez is insidiously eliminating democracy in Venezuela.
It's not a difficult point to understand.
I'm not a hate monger.
I don't hate anyone.
I'm more of a hate...stylist.

Depends what you mean by 'democracy'.

If by 'democracy' you mean a condition whereby a country's wealth is siphoned of and exploited by it's rich neighbours - to the benefit of the few wealthy, and subservient natives - then, yes, democracy has been '...insidiously eliminated in Venezuala'.

On the other hand, the poor of that country are benefiting immeasurably, and the country as a whole is setting a great example to the rest of the world, to the alarm of the U.S.

'But students have been careful not to link themselves to the opposition, which has been defeated repeatedly at the ballot box since Chávez, was first elected in 1998. Students say they are focused solely on the referendum – not on the ouster of Chávez as the opposition often calls for.

"We all understand this is not about getting the president out; if he is there or not we'll still have the same problems," says Alejandro Narvaez, one of the student organizers, after class at the Central University of Venezuela.'

    Interesting.

Serious? What do you understand about the democracy in emergent market? What do you know about Latin America? And Venezuela, have you ever been there? Or you only read the subject in american newspapers? What do you think about learn much more about this? Chavez may be not the great leader in your dreams, may be not in my dream, but you have leaders in your dreams? Who? I´m sure Chavez is not the leader in Sean Penn´s dreams too. But Sean looks around and see the world. Point for him.

mm a better electoral process than the United States...and Chavez allows freedom of the press besides...that's huge in terms of democracy.

The Us needs to take lessons from Chavez on democracy.

you know i have yet to see any real evidence of this. just a bunch of whinning and complaining...but the dems are about to nominate another guaranteed loser, HRC. So i'm beginnig to think they WANT to lose every election. Seriously, give up on the 'stolen election' crap. Everybody knows that it's all BS.
