This election is not about left or right, republican or democrat, Obama or Romney, socialism or capitalism....
its about the "SOUL" of our nation! Its about our children and their opportunities for the same freedoms, hope and rights that we got to enjoy. Its about the next generations and America's standing in the world. Its about our moral relativity to the world. Its about preserving life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for the next generation!
Theres no time like the present
A man that stands for nothing....will fall for anything!
It's really just about different people having different priorities and different ideas about how to accomplish those priorities. No one is good or bad...no one is right or wrong...they're just different.
Well Todd Akin might be a little bad

noone is good or bad....noone is right or wrong? You mean the two presidential candidates, or everyone? Im trying to have empathy for that point of view.....and it seems like a very GRAY world with a bunch of happy mediums and vanilla colors! I would like to say that applying policies to American society does have importance, meaning and value. There are consequences, benefits and trials in doing so. The true results are that some policies are good and some are bad. Some are right and some are wrong. Some people see things differently, therefore leading them to downplay the real level of importance of them. Many people say "ah, nothing makes a difference anyways" or "we cant make a difference anyways". That attitude is just what the devil ordered! Its a life of bringing good down, and bringing evil up.....to make the distance between them, much less that what it is. There are absolute truths and there is good and evil!

Personally... I think it is Left vs. Right because it is easy... it requires no thought... reasoning... does not need to be founded in fact or truth. It is a belief or opinion... therefore, what I think is right... which means whatever you think is wrong.
...
Take this for example:
By saying I believe in this: GOOD: Low taxes for everyone
getting good grades
not killing, stealing, coveting
compassionate policies that have common sense
business friendly policies that promote growth
more freedom and less tyranny
quality healthcare that is affordable
raising good children that are appreciative
being community oriented and volunteering

Automatically assumes that you MUST believe in that: BAD: Big govt. that overreaches
Getting bad grades
killing, stealing, coveting
forceful policies that take away freedoms
regulations that stifle growth and take away incentives
more tryanny and less freedom
socialized healthcare that is a waste of money
being isolated and a hermit
raising monsterous children
spreading fear, anger and deception
drug addiction
The Devil
Now... seriously... what moron really believes that people are intentionally 'raising monsterous children'? Or that believe stealing, killing and coveting are good characteristics? It is simple demonization of those that think differently than you as monsters, thus, making it real easy to hate them.
...
Trying to figure out what is universally Right... that is a tough problem to solve and dim-witted people are ill-equipped to take on the task. It is much easier to simply point at you and dump the blame on you.
That is why we are Left vs. Right.

I don't. Not at all.
Here's my list..
GOOD
Taxes that make a country work. When taxes are so low that we can't pay for basic things like fixing roads, bridges and paying teachers or firemen, our taxes are too low.
Good Education. "Good Grades" are just numbers. Kids get given "good grades" for memorizing the answers without learning anything.
quality healthcare that is affordable. (To everyone.)
drug addiction counseling (that is affordable to everyone, along with removing silly drug laws that help nobody)
Shining the fruit of the spirit (this IS a euphemism for masturbation, right? If not... add to the "WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS EVEN MEAN" Column.)
BAD
JESUS. Religion kills. And Jesus wasn't a real person. He sure wasn't a white guy with a medium brown beard and blue eyes who spoke English and wore a white gown.
Big govt. that overreaches (Like when the government passes laws like Proposition 8 and DOMA? Yeah, that's bad)
Getting bad grades (see above)
killing, stealing, coveting (see above)
forceful policies that take away freedoms (like Proposition 8, DOMA and Question 1? Yeah, those are bad)
more tryanny and less freedom (like Proposition 8, DOMA and Question 1? Yeah, those are bad)
socialized healthcare that is a waste of money (
being isolated and a hermit (why is this bad? Some people LIKE to be alone.)
raising monsterous children (ok, I'll give you that)
spreading fear, anger and deception (like Proposition 8, DOMA and Question 1? Yeah, those are bad)
drug addiction (ok, yes.. those are bad)
Allowing mention of religion or superstitions in public policy or government.
WHAT THE FUCK DO THESE EVEN MEAN?
regulations that stifle growth and take away incentives (what do you mean "incentives?" what do you mean "stifle growth?" Making the poor poorer just means that there's less money to support businesses.)
not killing, stealing, coveting (Killing Osama Bin Ladin: Good. Bombing civilians: Bad.)
compassionate policies that have common sense (the problem with "common sense" is that phrase is used by anyone with a two-bit opinion. Someone who doesn't understand what causes gravity says "it's just the devil pulling us away from heaven.. that's just common sense.")
more freedom and less tyranny (as someone whose family has been the target of over 100 laws meant only to take away our rights and protections... and for no reason other than "you're not as good as us and we want to legally punish you for that), I'm always suspicious of people who talk about "freedom and tyranny" while voting for things like Proposition 8 and Question 1.)
raising good children that are appreciative.
spreading love, peace, joy and hope (what do you mean by this? forcing your personal religious views on the whole country?)
a smaller federal govt. that is fiscally sane (what is "fiscally sane?" that's another one of those vague "I support laws that are firm but fair" boilerplate that every candidate says when they have nothing to say).
Now... seriously... what moron really believes that people are intentionally 'raising monsterous children'? Or that believe stealing, killing and coveting are good characteristics? It is simple demonization of those that think differently than you as monsters, thus, making it real easy to hate them.
...
Well, complete apathy leading to monstrous children happens more frequently than any of us would like. The parents are intentionally disengaged, it doesn't just happen to them.
And those parents are really easy to hate. When I see a kid acting terribly, if the parent is attempting to do something then I feel great empathy for the parent as I know it happens to all from time to time. If they do nothing, ignore, or put the parenting on others by saying stuff like "The store manager will get angry if you keep throwing stuff all over the floor"...I really dislike that parent and know that that kid doesn't stand a chance without another outside influence taking over as a role model.

I go to a different grocery store now because of parents that can't control their (sometimes multiple) children. These are the same parents who have cases of Mountain Dew and Pepsi, bags of Doritos, TV dinners, juice that contains 5% fruit juice, and not one vegetable or fruit or salad ingredient in their cart.
And, a lot of them pay with their EBT cards.

I should have been clearer with the example...
The point I was trying to make that if you believe in 'raising good children' does NOT mean the person who is on the other side of the political fence automatically believes that 'raising monsterous children' is the way to go. Just as the idea that if you believe in Jesus... you are good and your opponent **MUST**, therefore, believe in Satan. Example: Jews do not believe in Jesus as their saviour... it does NOT mean they believe in Satan, right?
Basically, if all one sees the world in black or white (Red or Blue), they are missing the entire picture.

Right vs. Wrong is Left vs Right. Equating Right = Left & Wrong = Right.
I thought that was the whole point? I guess maybe the OP actually has to post a complete thought if it's different.
i just thought the OP was saying that right and wrong no longer matter ... and that everything is decided by partisanship ... i don't really see a go blue theme at all ...

Really, I thought he was making a left is always right sort of comment. I could be mistaken.
This is one of those threads that if it were reversed would have caught so much shit and been locked/deleted.

what!?? ... DS is as red as it gets and he agreed with the thread ...
Have you not taken any standardized tests?

It could be seen as "Wrong" was replaced with "Left" indicating that left=wrong. Or it could just be a new take on the "Who's on First" comedy routine. Am I right or am I wrong? I mean left or right... no wait I mean wrong or left... no wait... ah fuck...
