I think this is the longest stretch in the past 30 or so years without a terrorist attack? Is Bush actually stopping these attacks?

I think that any wacko terrorist that wanted his 23 virgins in paradise figured its easier to kill Americans in Iraq then to head to the States. If you had to kill an American for virgins, would you just head a few countries over or would you travel across the globe?

Well, isnt 23 virgins in paradise what all of us want? Joking aside, yes, I do belive they merely want virigins. Because some of the suicide bombers in Iraq blew up schools and crowded markets without a singe US Soldier being injured. If they wanted to kill an American, they would blow up just soldiers.

Yeah, I think a few individuals could penetrate Bush's Homeland Security network. But, if your smart enough to do that, your probably smart enough to know that radical religions are dumb.

In my opinion, the terrorists don't need to attack America again. The effects of 911 are still being felt. Americans have have given up many of the freedoms that defined them. And many American's are still shitting themselves over the possibility of another attack. They don't need to attack, because they are terrorists, their goals are to create fear, which they have done. As long as GWB keeps scaringmongering to get what he wants the terrorists win.

I'm not sure that Americans are scared enough. Not that we should go around cowering, but all of the heightened awareness and patriotism that followed 9/11 seems to have gone by the wayside. I don't want another 9/11 to get people to wake up to the fact that we're not immune to terrorist attacks in this country.

Be careful, I heard there is a counter-terrorism drill near Hawaii this month. Every time they have one of these drills the actual event happens. This time it's a nuclear blast.

No, they're scared shitless, the US is like a crazy, drooling unpredictable thing to them right now. Much like they seem to do with all their ememies, radical islam underestimated responses their "terror" would bring, and haven't had the luck or nutz to try again. Thank god.

Agreed. I also think 9/11 was one of those "once in 35-50 years" type of events too. You aren't going to see something of that magnitude very often. Kinda like Pearl Harbor, or Oklahoma City.

Abuskedti fails to realize, or remember, all of the failed terror attacks within the last 5 years too. We've stopped a number of events from happening, and arrested a number of people planning to do us harm.

So yeah, Bush's plan is working.

And I doubt they tell us every threat that is stopped. You dont hear much about stopped ones, and thats good.
