Where's the outrage?

Where is the coverage?

Where is the concern?

Where is the security from the occupying nation?

Have we all secretly agreed to pretend - and me left out?

I have noticed that the average person from Lebanon is better looking than the average Iraqi

and it seems easier to find an English speaking interview...

Is that why we approve of the massacre we have turned Iraq into?

It's been around since the war began. It's outrageous.

...also, If you have the time - this:

    Is an amazing research site.

    And this: http://www.iranbodycount.org/

Will amaze you, you'd think they would never think of doing such a horrible thing as starting a nuclear holocaust.

Does anyone know the ratio of civilians killed in Iraq by coalition troops vs. those killed by the insurgents?

Seek and ye shall find! Of course we know your'e bein a smart ass, but to each their own....
  • If you're counting on major news networks (NBC, FOX, ABC, whatever) to give a damn about actual news you'll be disapointed every time.

Of course it's outrageous, but it depresses people at 7 AM who'd rather hear about tanning addiction and monkeys that play poker than significant things.

Not sure of an exact breakdown, but most sources say things like "The vast majority of the 14000 or so Iraqi civilians killed since the war began died at the hands of fellow Iraqis".

    really?

There was a report in october of 2004 that said that there were 100,000 approx. (at the time) Iraqi civilian casualities as a result of US bombing alone.

I meant that "really" in the non-sarcastic way, by the way, I'm no numbers expert.

Many of you say that alot..

    We conquered that nation.

    We still occupy that nation.

It is our responsibility to bring security to the streets while we occupy

    and we don't

every civilian death from "insurgents" is our responsibility.

If we don't care to provide security and take responsibility for that country - then we need to leave and allow them to do it.

    shit!!!! It fucking amazes!!!!!

    Those our on our hands!

That stat seems incredibly exagerated to me ... And I have gone on record here and said that I don't support the American war in Iraq any longer.

Yes, you can find them if you look... I am very well aware they exist. However, though it is the most horrible thing hapening on this planet - it is hidden from the consciousness of America.

First of all, I say it because its probably true. However, you do have a point ... America is currently responsible for security in that nation, and basically the place is a total shitstorm. The U.S. army is great at defeating its enemies on the battlefield, but piss poor at policing a country once it is already conquered. Actually, most any army is piss poor at police work. The latter is not in a soldier's mandate.

Well that's casualties, not deaths. and that was after, what, at least a year of bombing?

I don't doubt that U.S. bombs killed AND wounded a lot of civilians during the first year ... But there's been a huge sea change. The insurgency and sectarian violence are now directly causing the bulk of the deaths here. One can argue that the indirect cause is the failure on the part of American forces to maintain decent security. While this is probably a valid point, its not the whole story. Are the Iraqi people infants or animals? Do they need some powerful hand to control them, so as to prevent bloodshed? Seems like a paternalistic and dare I say prejudiced attitude to take. Where does the personal responsibility of adult human beings come in here?

Its not only that.. our country is not concerned with providing the security.

We are failing them miserably, and still stand at weekly radio addresses and say we don't need more troops.

We surely do need more troops. If we care about the nation we destroyed.

and if we don't we need to leave.
