  • I know what ya mean. Some seem down right hostile. I hope that clears up soon. :)

you can't be neutral on a moving train ...

i actually think the passion and energy in this forum is great ... there is obviously a line but i think for the most part people are sticking to the issues and when we are talking about loss of life - it is not surprising things get heated ...

we all need to be challenged ... only if we are able to face these challenges and ourselves will we ultimately learn ...

I didn't mean that they weren't nice to each other on the board.

but not nice in general. Not very interested in the well being of their fellow man.

I agree with that polaris! You can't really be neutral when so much is at stake such as the lives of the innocent. I don't feel ashamed about at all. Only one side decided to bomb the other to rubble and there is no justification for the use of such force.

What's ironic and fun is that I find myself agreeing with a lot of what Abuskedti posts these days ... And we used to argue all the time. :)

This place does get hotile sometimes, but only when somebody decides to take it to a personal level. As long as everyone is voicing objections that are directly aimed at opinions and ideas while still being polite we will have constructive discussion.

I wish I could say I always practiced what I preached but I'm prone to using improper language when I'm passionate about something.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?

Yeah, perhaps my views are changing somewhat. Perhaps theirs are as well. Either way, that's one of the good things about the Train. One's horizons can be broadened.
Just tired of some of the rhetoric these days ... Maybe its not what people say and more how they say it.

    well said.

i do not take it personal if someone attacks me. heck, i members of my own "family" that attack me at family reunions. crazy uncles, dillusional aunts...you see the pattern. therefore, i would find it odd that everyone here gets along. :)

Duck and cover until the shaking stops. Or stop drop and roll. Better do both just to be safe. It think its all the fault of the Arabs. Or was it the Israelis? Nope, its gotta be the yanks, but someone has to be blamed :)
