Steriods... ESPN has adopted Baseball's and Congress' and the people's view that Pettitte is an honorable man and Roger Clemens is a villan.
Pettitte lied for 10 years... hid in silence when McGwire and Giambi (his own teamate) were being crucified. Then when he was caught red handed he comes out and admits to the little bit they already knew he did and he rats on his teamate and good friend.
While Clemens on the otherhand remains true to the company line being towed by all players - that they did not do it when it was illegal.
Clemens got skewered by congress and his image destroyed.. to protect who? The commissioner - the 95 percent of all major leagers that were not investigated? Congress?
Steroids is a great problem through all of baseball.. ESPN - the news..should show that it was unjust to single out a small number of trainers and therefore a few players on only a few teams... that was fine for investigation - but should have been kept private.. and what purpose does it serve to let congress grill Clemens on televison without even using questions that would have been allowed in court.. like asking him to respond to what Pettitte said, then again to what Pettitte's wife said Pettitte said for example... what the fuck is that..
And where is ESPN..
nothing is being resolved and a few are again sacrificed.
and ESPN proceeds by asking "legal esperts" what action congress might take next against Clemens.
Fuck!!!!! That is not sports news - how about ask what this means about the rest of baseball - how about asking other players why they don't step up and tell the fucking truth to help resolve this issue
After this episode - will anyone else come out and tell the truth... fuck no... so the problem stays hidden.. and ESPN is playing right alone...

It's done at this point, in the long run it's up to baseball to clean it up... they should have just let this thing die.
ESPN becomes unwatchable at times. They have some really bad producers on Sports Center.... the Greatest Highlight... Who's Now?

It's become almost impossible to watch thier regular big station programming.... and Honestly... Does it really freaking matter what Roger Cossack or Mel Kiper thinks?
Perhaps this is another reason to not care so much about stats anymore.

I need to watch more television. That's my favorite board game, I would've love to have seen that tournament.
