Who is more evil, Jesus or Allah

According to the pedestrian interpretation of the US Religious Right

Allah says kill them if they do not follow me.

That same king of deliberate negative interpretation:

Jesus says if they don't follow me, I will round them up in 85 years (extimate of earthly life) and have the tortured for all of eternity

Jesus is far more evil, but something of a procrastinator.

I think Jesus gives non believers as much reason to declare war on us, and Allah gives us to declare war on them

That's ridiculous. Neither one gives ANY justifiable reason to declare war on anyone.

Only the smallest and most radical portions of both religions actually hold that view. And they have much deeper problems than their religion.

    Plus, Jesus doesn't torture anybody.

especially when jesus says "love your neighbor as yourself", what a jerk he must be. It's kinda (sad) funny...maybe we are loving our neighbor as much as we love ourselves.

If you do not believe in an afterlife, then the answer is very easy: Allah.

It gets more complicated if you believe in the afterlife.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

Maybe they should face off in a cage match. Then we'll see who the true champ of evil is.

(Seriously; a thread about which religious figure is more evil? Are you kidding? Ooooh, how confrontational and bold.)

Well it depends, if Allah kills the non believers where do these people go? heaven, hell or nowhere? If they go to heaven or nowhere you have a point.

Neither...both are in their faith's version of Heaven, so they aren't committing any evil here on earth.

It's not Jesus or Mohammed (Allah is God) who are evil...
... It's their idiot, so-called fan club members who are. You know... the ones who justify their greed, hatred, anger, distrust and intolerance all in the name of their Messiahs.

I certainly agree with that. My point is only that it is equally absurd to attack muslims becuase of their beliefs and to attack Christians for the same reason..

Al Qaeda??? what the fuck is that? its a club... We have been bombing people routinely because of some association with that club... because of Osama Bin Laden??? equally ridiculous.... Global War on Terror! My ass... Its just radical murder.. on both sides - both equally blood thirsty opportunists.

    very very sad

I think that people jump on to extrimist tags...We have loving Judeo Christian People and I meet a lot of Muslim folk, who are equally as nice.

don't Muslims believe that Allah sends apostates and sinners to hell also?

I believe the Qur'an states they will be punished. It is what I believe according to certain sects of Islam to be in effect a capital offense. Apostates of Islam are not treated kindly. Adult ones obviously, children commit offenses but certainly are not subject to the same punishment.

I agree, people give these religions a bad name. I think thats partly why so many people are atheist, and why people hate muslims.

Think not ye that I am come to send peace on earth…
The Jews had a notion of great outward peace and prosperity in the days of the Messiah; which was grounded on several prophecies of the Old Testament, not rightly understood by them; and the disciples of Christ had imbibed the same notion: wherefore our Lord thought fit to let them know the contrary; and that they must not expect outward ease and quiet, and worldly tranquillity would attend their ministry; for though he came to be a peace maker between God and sinners, by the blood of his cross; and was both the author and donor of spiritual peace to his people; and the Gospel he brought with him, and sent them to preach, was the Gospel of peace; which, accompanied with his power, would produce peace in the consciences of men, and be the means of cultivating and maintaining peace among the saints; yet "peace on earth" in a temporal sense, whether in the world in general, or in Judea in particular, must not be expected as the consequence of his coming; so far from it, that he subjoins,

I came, not to send peace, but a sword.
By the "sword" may be meant the Gospel, which is the means of dividing and separating the people of Christ from the men of the world, and from their principles and practices, and one relation from another; as also of divisions, discords, and persecutions arising from it: not that it was the intention and design of Christ, in coming into the world, to foment and encourage such things; but this, through the malice and wickedness of men, was eventually the effect and consequence of his coming; see (Luke 12:51) where, instead of a "sword", it is "division"; because the sword divides asunder, as does the sword of the Spirit, the word of God.

it is not meant to be taken as a violent sword and cause people to kill.
