    Even if you aren't listening to your iPod, NYC can be very noisy. Perhaps they will ban jackhammering, construction work and sirens where pedestrians are present. After all, those things can drown out the sound of oncoming traffic as well.

    (this would be a stupid, stupid law)
    The only people we should try to get even with...

    They should ban people there too. They talk really loud on the sidewalk.

    I mean, what happened to a little common sense?!?! Or has it gotten to the point where people are that oblivious to their surroundings that laws need to start being put into place?

    haha! I agree. I mean, if you can't walk around the city with some headphones on and still not be able to pay attention to your surroundings....I am not sure you should be able to leave your house! Be sure not to let them have any gum either while they are out walking around.

    What about all the advertisements all over the place...going to have to remove all those signs...higway signs too...no names on store fronts...
