So will you get something out of those cuts? I won't, from my single man middle class status, i won't get any kind of taxes cuts, maybe some fiscal modifications but nothing that will make any difference to my budget.
It seem like the Conservatives are trying to re-align themselves a bit more to center with this budget, it's not all bad, but the only advantage of having a Conservatives govt. in power would be taxes/revenu taxes cuts, advantage gone.
I do like the small car tax incencitive though, that might make me buy a new car in the coming months.
The other thing that bugs me is the fact that they could have wait just one more week to release that budget, Quebec election would have been done, and it wouldn't look like a blatant electioneering move, to help some political party in Quebec, i don't think it will make a huge difference but it could have been avoided.
What do you think about this budget?

One of these budgets as a middle class, stiff who has to get out of bed and make a living as opposed to letting the government drop cash into my bank account, the god of budget will smile on me. "Spare a dime?" "Sorry, my dime hits your cup at budget time". Sad but true.
I agree the automobile move was good on paper. But really, when you drive and can afford gas guzzlers. The extra tax isn't really an issue. Just gets written off when you put in your business taxes at the end of the year. Nothing comes of it at all. Does this new tax mean Harper and the crew are going to be chaufered in smaller cars to and from Parliment? I somehow doubt it.
Same BS no matter who is in charge.
Although I am noticing my savings going up from having the 1% dropped from the GST. NOT! By the way. Which party is scrapping the GST?
