Saudi Arabia as a country, plus all those arabs with the billions. They should buy the land/homes of the settlers on palestine, then give the homes to the palestinians, then continue to buy whatever homes and return as much land to the palestinian people as they can.

I thought about that after I read a paper about some settlers saying that they'd move if someone would buy the home from them.

Of course saudi arabia is a greedy nation, so rich, so many palaces yet people go hungry on the streets in that country, they should use the money for some good.

btw, that google video, some of those guys were funny, love those sports cars.

Of course one smart thing that's going on around that side of the world is dubai, they are making it look nice, well if you like the modern thing. They are planning for the day the oil runs dry. very smart.

But they should pay the paki and the indian workers more money per hr.

yes but, keep in mind the fact that these royals are very corrupt, they spend the oil money on themselves, not it's people, so for all those years of greed the saudis should pay something back. this is why it should be up to the saudis.

Why don't Americans who love Israelis so much buy the homes of the illegal settlers? The illegal settlers don't deserve any money for their homes which were built on land stolen from others. Do you think that any of the occupied countries in Europe in the 1940's should have bought houses and land back from the Nazis? The illegal settlers in the West bank had no right moving there in the first place. Fuck them! Let their Government sort them out financially if that's what concerns them. Maybe they can use some of the $4 billion worth of U.S funds that they receive every year instead of using that money to buy more weapons with which to slaughter women and children.

As far as MrBrians point...it is true that the many rich Saudi's have gotten that way by monopolizing the natural resources of their country (and the region) at the expense of the people. And maybe 'buying the land' like that would help solve some of the issues, but the hatred runs so deep that I doubt any financial transaction would take care of that. I think it'd be a short term solution at best, if it is really any solution at all. Interesting thought though.

So your central point here is that Some Saudi's have a lot of money. Therefore the Middle East situation between Palestinians and Israeli's should be resolved by them giving Israel shit loads of money in return for land that they stole? This thread is a joke.

Miller I might actually have to agree with you here. I believe that if you trace back the history of the Middle East English colonialism has contributed to some of the problems we see today. It's not the main cause but definetly a contributing factor.

Maybe I misunderstood your reasoning for bringing America up at all in this thread. Whenever someone here points out somehting wrong about another area of the world, someone ultimately (usually very early on) says "But, look at what America does...." it gets old.
