I think the one thing that will prevent obama from winning in the next election (if he runs) is his middle name.

Americans may think his fathers saddam, they'll never vote for him.

If he's smart, he'll stay out of the 2008 race. He can't win, the only national issue under his belt is his non-support for the Iraq war. The incoming Congress doesn't have a domestic platform, especially one that would not include raising taxes since the outgoing Congress just extended Bush's tax cuts.

He would enter the 2008 race relying too heavy on a big "build me up" type campaign. All that shit will just get twisted in the media and blowup in his face. Hell FOX probably already have the commercials and storylines ready for release. He needs to wait.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

Increasing taxes is necessary. How does the Bush Administration propose paying down the 8 trillion dollar deficit it created? How does any Republican propose to pay it down by cutting taxes?

If we ran our personal finances the way our government runs it's finances, we'd be sitting in prison.

o really mr. greenspan? raising taxes is not necessary. the american economy makes enough money cut the debt in half by 2014. hopefully within the next 2 years we will stop spending money in Iraq. that is just too much money going over there.

    Greenspan was wrong.

You'll see. That is, if we make it to 2014.

Without a significant recovery plan that includes an increase in taxes, the debt will be somewhere around 15 trillion by 2014.

I'm not convinced that we won't see a nuclear war in the next 7 years. That's what I mean by if we're around.

Obama is THE one person who will get me off my ass and out to the polling place. Anyone else, and i'm watchin' T.V.

  • I think the reason he won't win is because his liberal policies are proven false over and over again.

That, and he's black. No offense, I'd vote for Alan Keyes, but I wouldn't expect him to get elected.

From what i've noticed, I think more than half the people who say that they'll vote for him really know nothing about his politics. I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

It's the confident voice/tone that he has that people like.

He's even rather weak on the opposition to the war.

He's a new personality, though, and I think that is making him plausible candidate.

Middle of the road, typical politician: I'm not impressed.

They have good radio stations, Chicago does. I was driving east to west and Cleveland didn't have shit to offer on the radio dial, and that sort of concerned me being it is the home of the rock and roll hall of fame. When I finally got to Chicago, oh man, anything I wanted to hear, damn near.
