Senator John McCain's 2008 Presidential bid raised questions concerning whether he was a "natural born citizen" of the United States entitled to seek the presidency (only "natural born citizens", resident in the United States for fourteen or more years and aged at least 35, may be president, pursuant to Article II of the United States Constitution. Title 8, Section 1403 of the United States Code grants citizenship to those born in the Canal Zone with at least one parent who is a United States citizen. This differs from the provision in the Fourteenth Amendment which grants citizenship to all born in the United States, regardless of parental nationality. McCain was born in the Canal Zone to United States citizen parents.

I'm sure the republicans rewrote that amendment just for him.
Exactly. This isn't even an issue. It is as dumb as the ones about Obama. Why bring these up?
there were too many about Obama....I was just trying to level the field.
Really?
Correct, I was born on an Army Base in Germany, and always been a US citizen.
