HOW Obama won...

This is a map that compares how the country voted in 2008 compared to how it did in 2004. A light blue means a slight increase in Democratic votes, and a dark blue means a big increase. Same goes for the red for Republicans.

i don't see how this shows HOW he won....just where dem votes were increased. obviously dem votes increased significantly, otherwise we'd not now have a dem president-elect.


the map is interesting tho. for a moment there too, i was amazed thinking my little island - finally! - skewed democratic. but alas, it only indicates an increase...does not signify if it actually went all dem. i am in a VERY blue state, but live in one of the small areas that usually skews red. always happy to know there are more of us mixing it up tho.

Wow, pretty interesting. There was certainly a combination of hope in Obama, and backlash from the last 8 years of Bush.
