Something I didn't know about the "Mission Accomplished" photo shoot

It was shot off of the coast of San Diego, CA. lol. I had no idea. I always thought that Bushie flew over to a ship in the Middle East for that PR job. Sorry, but I didn't know if I was the only one.

    That has to be one of the all-time greatest politcal blunders. Not to mention it was just pure stupid on every other level. But politically speaking, what the fuck was he thinking?

    Cheney is also a moron with his "I think the insurgency is in it's last throws" comment. I feel like Lewis Black should do a routine on things like this!

    I always knew that. I was living in san diego at the time. The local tv and radio stations made a big hub-bub about it all day long. There's always a big clamor whenever the pres comes to town. I remember thinking that Bush probably wanted to be just like his dad, who flew carrier planes during WWII.

    No, Bush got plenty of chances to fly those when he fought in Vietn....wait? ohhhhh

    he he .. I didn't realize that either.. I just assumed the ship was deployed - on their way in or out.. but somewhere close... at least closer to Europe than San Diego...

    Wow, It was sorta assumed that it was in the middle east or somewhere where it is being used. I'm surprised nobody made a big fuss about it.
