Senator Clinton for Senate Leader??

Come on Harry Reid, step aside and let Hillary be majority leader (man that feels good to say) or the Senate. She would be much more useful there instead as a Presidential spoiler to Obama...

Seriously though, watch for something like this to happen, or maybe even Clinton being the party whip (which pains me because Dicky D would have to move aside).

Clinton...party...and whip...all in the same sentence made me laugh...wrong Clinton though. ;)

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm thinking some deal will be made and she will stay in the Senate and out of the White House.

that's what i was hoping for. hillary is great with policy work and seems to really like it. and she gets a lot done. maybe a pres run in the future, but i'd rather see obama now.

i wouldn't be so quick to dismiss her as a pres candidate at any point. people seem to forget what she went through to get elected as senator here. but she really won over upstate (which can be quite . . . 'unlike' the pinko commie homos here downstate). and there were all the carpetbagger allegations. she won this week in a landslide. it's not just 'liberals' that like her, and actually many don't. but i actually think she could be quite a surprising force in a national election.

"pinko commie homos" would be a great band name, but i bet it's been taken. hmmm... maybe "the pinko commie homo experience".

the conservative media always criticizes her "ambitious" nature, which is funny, since "ambitious" usually isn't used as a perjorative when applied to other politicians. i agree with you on her strength when it comes to policy, too, it's a shame she doesn't get more credit for that nationally.

if she does decide to run and senator obama runs, it will be a very interesting primary season. i'd really dread seeing them go after each other. i'd hope that they'd end up on the same ticket eventually.

i also like senator feingold, but that might be a pipe dream on my part.

i can totally relate to hillary here. i was criticized for being ambitious last week in my review. although my job isn't as cool as hers, and that's why i need to quit.

anyhoo, this will be an interesting and exciting primary, i hope. if people were really voting for change this week--that could usher in a victory for obama.

i like feingold too. let's hope for some winners next time.

    um, i don't think you're an idiot . . . all the time ;).

seriously though, i'm not making that up. i could give some examples. but actually this is a good thing for me. i think i'm going to write them a 'thank you for not promoting me' note when i resign. it's making me do what i really should be doing.
