Edgefest lineup announced
Linkin Park, STP and a third headliner to be announced shortly. Man I hope it's PJ. It's at Downsview park July 12th.
Edit* Through email Alan Cross of the Edge 102 said he approached PJ to play but that they " couldn't afford them"

The edge 102 announced it this morning. They will have it on their web site shortly I'm sure. http://www.edge.ca/home/index.cfm
Thanks.
there was rumors of a PJ downsview show last year but again it was just a rumor.
Has PJ sold more then foo and tool? Maybe they were talking about linkin park
Looks like this summer going to be a good year for concerts in T.O.
I'm just hoping. Maybe PJ can't commit yet.
allmyrivals
WHAAHYEAH!!
Likewise.
I looked it up on Wiki and Linkin Park's first album went Diamond which I believe is 10X platinum.
ALL of Tool's albums have sold around 12 million.
So they were talking about crappy ass Linkin Park.
6/7/2003 (***1/2)
7/9/2006 (****1/2)
7/13/2006 (**** )
4/10/2008 EV Solo (****1/2)
6/25/2008 MSG II (*****)
10/1/2009 LA II (****)
10/6/2009 LA III (***** Cornell!!!)
STP have sold about 30mil total...and LP sold 18mil just on hybrid theory...so they could both be winners
Tickets are $80 plus all those fees..so id say around 95-100. Thats crazy..
Well I guess Id pay 50 for STP and another 50 for lp/sam roberts..
I'm thinking the same thing. I have seen them before and they put on a good show + I live here so why not.
the PJ Downsview concert was not a rumor, it was a concert that was, for all intense purposes, agreed to by the Band (Nicole, the band's publicist, was in Toronto for a meeting with Alan Cross of 102.1 the Edge to personally discuss promotion and support for the concert) and the venue; however, issues with the multi-level branches of local, provincial, and federal governments (since all have a stake in Downsview) led to the cancellation of plans,...

Good to hear. Maybe they will come back cuz they missed us last year. Ya know they love Toronto:)
Being that I can't get out there, I hope STP comes to me. Besides a PJ tour, I would love for STP to make some stops on the east coast.

Have you checked out Edge.ca? Or the Ongoing History Channel
and my Music Geek Blog?
I should email him back and say if that would be their only Toronto date it would add 10 -15 thousand more people to the show. That might help pay for them:)
The two biggest festival here in Norway also tried last summer and failed because of money issues...
Don't know but if you get 50,000 people at $80 a head thats 4mil. You'd think you could afford a few expensive bands with that kind of cash.
Same here
