Not really a shock... continuing at this point would just be wasting his own money.
And if he does want to try again in 2012, he's better off getting out now.My whole life

HE IS NOT OUT!
He is "SUSPENDING" his campaign.
He will retain ALL DELEGATES, REMAIN ON BALOT, and go in to a brokered convention with the possibility of STILL securing the nomination.
HE WILL JUST NOT BE CAMPAIGNING ANYMORE!If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -
Time to play a little ditty by Queen....."...another bites the dust."All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0

Never understood how or why Romney aligned himself with Bay Buchanan? She's more fantic than her brother, yes, Pat Buchanan.
Can someone explain?SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0 -

He's gaming for VP, exactly like John Edwards. And at his age, it's likely McCain will only seek 1 term. Which means that VP Romney will be sitting pretty in 2012 as the presumptive nominee."If all those sweet, young things were laid end to end, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised."

Yeah, that would be a good move on his part. But I'm just not 100% sure that Romney would help McCain with the conservatives more than Hickabee would.
With the hesitation they have with McCain, maybe conservatives are more comfortable with Romney than I give them credit for, but I would think Huckabee would do more to satisfy conservatives with McCain, than a johnny-come-lately conservative. My whole life

i think it may be more about appeasing the party leadership than actual conservatives. Romney was the political elite's main guy. Maybe a smart move on Romney's part.
Oh wait McCain would be crazy to pick Romney as VP. He would get assassinated in a second.0
