not sure if it was posted but there was a report yesterday that some group, i think in chicago, hacked into the city's voter database to prove it can be done and how you can change all sorts of stuff in the database
standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

they don't even have to be discrete about it any more, the american people just dont care. the machines can say that 100% of voters voted 100% republican, and any argument against those results would be looked at as insane. anyone desputing the results would be a "sore looser". and furthermore, NOBODY would do anything about it. people in this country enjoy being lied to, enjoy being treated like idiots, and we have, over the past 5 years shown nothing bu utter distain for democracy. i would wager that there is a large element of this country that would prefer we do away with voting all together, who would call voting unamerican because it insinuates the current leaders are doing a poor job. after all, we are in a time of war, what kind of message would it send to the evil doers if we showed so little faith in our leaders as to even consider replacing them?

  • Guess I'm still just a lil paranoid lib to be thinking that voting machines are to easy to hack to be used in an election.

that's where a paper trail or some kind of receipt or proof comes in handy.

is the real question 'can't anything be hacked?' or 'should things be this easy to hack??'

  • Trust me, politicians are well aware that results can be hacked, or manipulated.

We didn't wait to have machines to start manipulating results ;)
