standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

    Dispicable.

These corporations (and their CEOs and lawyers) should be forced to drink three gallons of that milk, per week. After all, they don't have a problem with it, right?

We as Americans need to take back the courts, judges and make some drastic changes to laws and the justice system, as a whole.

Corporations need to be prohibited of political contribution and influence, in any way, shape or form. Corporations right down the line, need to made responsible and accountable for their actions.

The FDA is as corrupt and useless as they come!

The writing has been on the wall for a long time. When will Americans stand up and fight?
  • I remember this being a good documentary. I watched it a while ago. Good stuff.

one of monsanto's lawyers and one of their vp's stepped down from monsanto and took jobs at the fda...

corporations are responsbile for over 90% of contributions, it's naive to think they expect/get nothing in return...the oil & gas industry has donated roughly a billion just by istelf since bush/gore

No. Lame effort on your part, though. Insulting all Americans and our way of life, by insinuating some generalization, is ignorant.

So how's all your backward-ass, cowardly, lazy, socialist, want money for nothing Canadian buddies, doing today? How's that generalization work for you?
  • Yeah and then people are shocked when they hear they have cancer after living what they thought was a healthy lifestyle.

Undoubtedly, you showed considerable consideration in your choice of words.

    I'm doing well!

I guess it has to do with what you export!

So on to Monsanto. God love them. They are creating new crops that kill themselves off after a year of use. Could you imagine if god had created the crops that way? We wouldn't be here today. A ha ha ha ha ha
And people still believe in god and trust the government. Woo do they need to be shaken like a crying baby by the nanny.
You've changed your place in this world!
  • I met a couple Canadians traveling earlier this summer and I found it strange when they would talk about Americans as totally different from themselves...

I thought, or maybe just assumed wrongly- that we were one in the same...

we are and we aren't ... obviously when speaking in generalizations you and i could be exactly the same or completely different ... hard to say ...

but generally speaking there is many similarities in some things (our consumption of mass marketing and influence of popular media) and some things that are different (our perspective of the rest of the world) ...

    (not speaking of govt differences)

I just find it hard to believe that there is that greater of a percentage of Canadians who really understand and care about what's going on in say Darfur right now than the percentage of Americans. Or for that matter, have realistic ideas/opinions on what should be done about Iran if they refuse to cooperate with the UN and gain nuclear capability.

Where do you think this arises from?

And to be honest I do not find it all that hard to believe....one just needs to look at our national media's...I am not trying to be ignorant but IMHO Canadian media of all forms takes more time to look outside our borders.....

i don't know if its one way or another as far as darfur ... as far as foreign policy - we did not support the invasion of iraq ... fairly distinct difference there ...

as far as iran goes - its all about perspective ... i would say most canadians buy into the fact iran is some evil country but we are less proned to use war as a tool of fostering change ...

I have yet to speak to one Canadian that supports military action against Iran....

AS for the war in Iraq we definetly told Mr. Bush what our view of that sham was....one very big thing that makes me proud of Jean......

The Corporation is a GREAT documentary...
i feel it shows how America has become like it has become.

Didn't that bit on Montasano end up saying that it was NOT illegal to broadcast something that was untrue?
-that part of the film really had me flippin' out-
