I recall when the exit polls showed Kerry winning Ohio soooo many ppl said how exit polls are useless, worthless, don't really reflect true votes....all sorts of reasons

so i was surprised to see in some states where, at the time, only 10% of the polls reported in CNN was using the exit polls to predict the winners of a lot of the races on super tuesday...i wonder...was wolf blitzer wrong w/ any of these predictions or was Ohio the only time it seemed that exit polls were so far off?
standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

No kidding. Last night CNN and even the Clinton camp said that she had won Missouri. Oops... Obama ended up winning the state.

    2004 was stolen...

whatever is convenient at the time i guess

    good point kabong
  • The can be relatively useless or they can be pretty accurate... But what does CNN care? For them, it seemed more important to call a race first, then to wait and make sure it was right.

If anyone wants to know the specifics related to the theft of the 2004 Presidential election, follow the House Judiciary hearings on oversight of the Justice Department. They are going down that road to revealing the whole thing. The hearings are set to resume tommorrow (Thurs). I already know what it's all about and I have a thread with most of the information needed to follow along. Here's the thread

Basically the exit polls were dead on in 2004.

Exit polls aren't useless. They're just not the same as actual votes. Hence, they can be wrong.
  • Vegas had Kerry as a heavy favorite, serious guys in a serious business...no way they miss the mark that badly
    hate was just a legend

You mean like they did with the Super Bowl just a few days ago?

Vegas didn't catch onto the fix until later that evening. If anyone wants to know what actually happened in 2004, go to my thread and check out the various links or at least read Chapter 4 of "Armed Madhouse" by Greg Palast.

Jail time is upcoming for the perpetrators of this crime. I expect they won't be found guilty until after Bush leaves office (so they won't get a Presidential Pardon). Do yourself a favor and follow the House Judiciary hearing on oversight of the Justice Dept. They going down the path to revealing it all.
