here's an interesting search...go to the bureau of transportation statistics site here
http://www.bts.gov/xml/ontimesummarystatistics/src/dstat/OntimeSummaryDepaturesData.xml
-for statistics click 'all stats'
-for origin airport select Boston, MA (Logan) or Washington, DC (Dulles)
-for airline select American Airlines (AA)
-then check sep, 11 and 2001 and hit submit at bottom...
flight 11 came out of boston (logan) and hit the wtc, but according to the search it has 'unknown' for tail number' and has no 'actual departure time' listed...the only ones that have tail numbers listed are ones that had actual times for 'actual departure time'
if you change it to washinton, dc (dulles) the same goes for flight 77, which hit the pentagon...no 'actual departure time' is listed and no tail number.
yet, if you repeat the search for United Airlines flights 175 and 93 they DO have departure times and tail numbers...flight 175 (which hit the other tower) took off 2 min early...flight 93 (which crashed/was shot down) left 1 min late
plz note the subject line, i am not saying this is anything, just that it's interesting, is all

standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

Not sure how interesting it is since when you do similar searches on Sep 4 you get the same thing. Furthermore there are similar statistics ("Unknown" and "00:00") for lots of flights in there.
George Washington
very interesting indeed.
