seriously....does he even have an audience? he acts like he doesn't pay attention half the time and the other half he's asking idiotic questions...

like after the imus thing he asked serena williams how far it would set back race relations int he us....???

and check these questions out from last night episode

KING: Dr. Phil, does a vigil help?
his answer
KING: And it works all the time for them?

then, talking to a father and son who lost their daughter/sister in the shooting, the brother was also a grad of vt

KING: Where do you live, Joseph?

J. SAMAHA: We live in Centreville, Virginia.

KING: So it wasn't too far of a drive to come to Blacksburg? (for the vigil)

is he serious????

then to the brother:

KING: And you had sent your other son to Virginia Tech.

Omar, how did -- what does this do you to, as a graduate of this school and now you lose your sister?

edit: before ppl say 'then don't watch it!' larry king is what's on during my last break so it's either that or take up smoking again and go out there...normally i try to tune him out...if only glenn beck was still on at that time, at least he was entertaining
standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

I've asked that question for years. He is a very shallow interviewer, and often quite ignorant of the people he is interviewing.

I watched his show one time, and that was enough for me. He had President Clinton on, right as we were preparing to send troops to Bosnia. His first question: What do you think of the OJ verdict?

I e-mailed a question for Bill Maher when he was on Larry King last year and mine was one of the questions chosen! It was pretty cool having my name and location said on the air and then my question being asked! I was pretty stunned and didn't even catch Bill's answer, so I had to watch it repeated later that evening. :D

i agree with you...not a huge fan of his interviews...but if the Imus thing taught us anything it's that if you can bring in money to something they'll keep you around. Larry can bring in the sponsor dollars... b/c someone somewhere is watching...why I have no idea.

If you think about it, Larry King is entertaining...obviously unintentionally, but when you really think about these things...it's funny! "so it wasn't a long drive for you?" who in their right mind would ask that?

I wish Laura Ingraham archived her larry king clips...a couple of those always leave me with a head and stomach ache from laughing so hard!
