    Hmmm... I'm a liberal and I don't really like David Cross, and I've never listened to Bill Hicks. My tastes, as well as the taste of most of my predictably liberal friends run more towards Eddie Izzard. Why does everyone have to label each other and be so disdainful towards them. Stupid conservative and liberal labels hold us back so much it's ridiculous.

    I wouldn't talk about boxes with what you all did to Lieberman. There is no room in the liberal party for somone who does not fit exactly in the box. There is not even room for ONE person in your party who only votes 95% with the party line. Hypocrisy. The party of open and new ideas. Bullshit.

    And the humor I like is universal. It isn't humor that plays off of peoples hate. The flag bit is only funny to you because you hate conservatives and patriotism. That is why you laugh. If one didn't hate (or care) about flags, you wouldn't be talking about Cross right now. I do not hate conservatives or even care about flag waving, so why in the hell would I find that bit funny? I can take a step back and see it for what it is: an angry person who travels the country venting on stage to the choir who are ready to laugh at anything remotely anti-conservative.

    I'm a moderate, and even though I don't agree with everything he says, I love him dearly. He is hilarious, despite what his political policies are. Don't generalize, because there's always somebody to thwart the stereotype.

    actually, i dont much care for bill hicks or david cross. neither of them really has any funny jokes... just self indulgent ranting with no sense of timing. i hate blue collar comedy, though ron white has his moments. i do like lewis black though, i guess that'd count as my token liberal comic.
