Apparently he is an unlicensed contractor (a big no-no; I am a construction attorney), and owes back taxes... Woops!

And apparently he doesn't think paying taxes is patriotic, like Sarah Palin.

This is too fucking rich!! :D

By my calculations, JtP would pay a whooping extra $121 in taxes* if he truly wanted to "buy the business." He was clearly a McCain plant . Another great job of vetting.

    * if he actually paid taxes.

Is anyone else BEYOND sick of hearing "Joe the Plumber," "Joe Sixpack," "Joe Anything" references in this election? I couldn't believe when I turned on the news this morning and they were interviewing Joe the Plumber... repeatedly... on every station.

What about JOEJOEJOE the Jammer and Message Pit Regular? When does he get a say in all of this?

Only in America would a Presidential campaign pick a plumber as their surrogate that was...

    A) Not a plumber
    B) Owed taxes to the American government
    and
    C) Would actually benefit under the opposing candidate's plan.

    That's not a pro-Obama or anti-McCain thing. It's just absolutely ridiculous.

In many states professional tradesmen are not licensed. In Illinois Electricians are not and they have been trying to get it put into the law for years. Plumbers are licensed in Illinois, as Journeymen have to pass a state test for it.

Homeowners are actually allowed to do their own plumbing in Illinois if a licensed plumber signs it off and it passes inspection. They can do all of their own work.

This licensing thing is blown out of proportion. In Toledo he probably should be licensed by their laws, it is different everywhere, but his boss might be one of those guys that doesn't follow all of the rules.

Now the tax thing is a bit different, I think that makes him look foolish, but I'm guessing all of the details are not yet known.

He has done more interviews than Sarah Palin, and I think that's a riot.

For the most part, but its okay if I hear a little more about Joe Biden ;)

But yeah, well that other guy Samuel Joe Warz... is pretty much getting karma now. If he was a McCain plant, they didn't pick very well did they?

Picking people obviously isn't a strong point of the McCain Campaign :)

I think we're only supposed to get pissed about the Mexican ones. I'm sure Joe the Plumber just fell on some hard times.

... If only you could see how much I'm rolling my eyes now. This whole thing is ridiculous.
