    I'll read it, though.

I'm just offering another viewpoint, my dear....:)

The part about his finances and his ties with trial lawyers stuck out for me...

Nothing new, conservatives can't stand trial lawyers and will discredit them at all costs. They don't like little people getting lawyers and making trouble for big business and they said as much in the piece.

The piece offered what I would expect from a conservatively biased viewpoint on Nader's accomplishments.

Certainly you probably wouldn't be too swayed by hearing what these folks think about Obama's record...and neither would I. Their criticism comes from a differing ideology that I don't agree usually with. So when I read it, I have to try to pick apart what they are saying because they are already presenting the facts laced with their own bias as to why they think these things are bad.

Fantastically done inmytree!!!! I don't think I've ever seen someone prove their point so well. Maybe Abook understands why we are not interested in this Rev. Wright garbage anymore.......Once again well done.

Not at all but I know by now I'm not a conservative.

Where as, me and you usually agree on political issues...except for the Obama issue so when we are arguing these issues we are coming from the same place with differing ideas on what to do about them.

Yeah...I don't think Nader is, in anyway, associated with VDare or New Republic.

Exactly, and inmytree was pointing out why were tired of this Hannity right wing crap. It's not an issue for us. So no need to defend it. I personally would like to have seen Obama strongly endorse Wright when this all blew up. But because there are so many brainwashed by the right wing media, it would be political suicide.

    yeah, I just read that...

my only comment is this...it was written in 2008...the other piece was written in 1990...journalistic integrity has changed in 18 years...

the 1990 piece did raise some interesting points, especially the part about calling ralphy in to defeat prop 106 in 1988....which sought to limit the amount lawyers can take from settlements...I guess ralph is ok with lawyers taking 2/3 of a clients judgment....;)

Well I wasn't aware we were even talking about Hannity at any point when I've brought up Obama or Wright.

And how again is Nader associated with VDare the way Obama is associated with Wright? I'm a bit lost on your analogy there.

Yeah that must be it. They must be right about Nader but so wrong and lacking integrity when it comes to Obama. ;)

Don't ask me to defend lawyers but I do know it takes a lot to battle big corporations and their quite wealthy and powerful corporate lawyers so I'm not so quick to pass judgement here. If it wasn't for these guys, big business would get away with murder. Give and take...

I believe they stretch the truth and exaggerate both. This is the point I'm making. You are Quick to dismiss anything about Nader, But you refuse to understand how the entire rev. Wright shit has been spun by he Clinton camp and the right wing.

What have I simply dismissed about Nader?

The points I've brought up about Wright and his relationship with Obama have nothing to do with what Hillary and the right wing wing have spun it as. I brought up honest questions and concerns. I haven't exaggerated or stretched the truth and I have nothing to do with what you see on tv nor am I defending their methods of sensationalizing this story or blowing it out of proportion. I have said numerous times how I don't think this is a huge issue but there is, however, room for discussion.
