I'm not sure that anyone confirmed Lidle was flying at the time anyway, so I don't know how this will go. I know it was his plane and the burden of proof on civil cases is zilch but it seems a little silly to me too.

Insurance should have taken care of all of the damage. It's remarkable to me that a dentist with the money he is paying for malpractice insurance would contribute to the growing frivolous or unnecessary lawsuit issues in the US.

I'm further annoyed that Lidel and Stanger attorneys filed wrongful death suits against the maker of the Aircraft.

Uh...crashing into a building is not "wrongful death" the malfunction was in your clients brains the aircraft did exactly what it was supposed to do.

We need a loser pays system for some of these ridiculous lawsuits.

It's become a lottery system and it's one reason insurance is so expensive.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    Also from the same article:

"Rosenthal was in the news in January, when he sued best-selling dating-book author Ellen Fein for $5 million after she called him a quack on the LyingDentist.com and BadDentist.com Web sites. She accused him of ruining her mouth, according to the Associated Press.

The lawsuit accused Fein, author of "The Rules," of defamation, harassment and extortion.

Fein's lawyer, Ann McGrane, said she planned to file a motion to dismiss Rosenthal's lawsuit, and she said she was sure it would be granted."

Sounds like this guy is just a sue-happy jackass....

  • This Rosenthal dentist guy was apparently also using sex as a payment option from his female patients.

It's a pretty humorous conclusion, I shouldn't have to spell it out.
