Please contain all the bitching and complaining about the failed TM fight, selling out to J Records, Verizon, and any other corporation, not holding true to their believes or views from 20 years ago or any other inane or contrived thoughts about how the band has changed sooo much over the years to this thread.

    Not really. It gets like this every 6 months or so. Then it settles down. Then a new bunch of people start bitching and complaining and the cycle repeats. Been going on like that for almost 5 years on here now.

    Wasn't one of the noteworthy arguements back in the Napster days that the music industry was not embracing the emerging technology? So, now that artists are working out ways to use the new technology to sell their wares, people are bitching because they can no longer steal their goods?

    The days of big record deals are going or gone. Artists need to figure out new ways to make money in the music business... which is still a business... and a way for them to earn a living. I mean, how many of you out there go to work for free? Musicians need to sell their songs so they don't have to work in the confinement of a little cubicle like you and me.

    I'm glad Pearl Jam is doing this. I mean, it's not like I can walk down to the corner Tower Records anymore. Things are changing... and changing pretty rapidly. And the musicians are learning and changing.. the fans need to learn and change. Just because you were able to steal music in the past, does not mean you should be able to steal music forever.
