on one exchange Dave asked McCain about Republican VP Sarah Palin's preparedness to lead the country through "the next 9/11 attack.."

"Absolutely" she is, McCain said. "She has inspired Americans. That's the thing we need."

Obama has inspired far more Americans than both McCain and Palin combined, and McCain has even attacked Obama on his hope message and doing nothing but inspiring people, so now all of a sudden inspireation is good? That and not giving a crap about women's health of course.
"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)

  • inspired or fooled?

    (on both sides)
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I like how the band played The Who's "I Can't Explain" as he came out ...

Wow, Letterman was grilling him about the Ayers stuff and McCain looked lost and flustered. Go Dave.

  • "She has ignited young people..."

I know what he meant, but I still picture her with a gas can and a book of matches.

Also, he choose her because her husband can run really fast when it's cold out. I guess.

    Strange dude.

We have to have Colbert being one of the moderators though.

Would that not be incredible? Colbert would make them both look like idiots and amuse us at the same time.

  • Man, I love how Letterman can have such brilliant moments when he's fired up. Leno could never touch him when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Dave really, really smoked McCain last night. If the debate wasn't the nail in the coffin for him, last night may have well been.
