The Body of War DVD features special bonus content including the video created for Eddie Vedder's original song, "No More," which was penned for the film. 25% of the sale of each DVD sold through pearljam.com will benefit Tomas and his medical care directly. Pre-order here today.
SYNOPSIS
Directed by Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro, the multi award-winning Body of War splits its time between Tomas's arduous daily reality in Kansas City, MO, and the legislative processes that led up to the invasion of Iraq in 2002. Senatorial speeches and a running tally of pro-war votes are interspliced with intimate footage of Tomas as he navigates through the acute physical and emotional impacts of his injury. A testament to the power of parallel images, the film adeptly juxtaposes the sanitized vantage point of Washington with raw personal experience. In the end, this contrast forces viewers to question the motives, methods, and ever-rising cost of the conflict in Iraq.
A deeply moving and bracingly honest film, Body of War narrates a story that must be heard—a story of courage, conviction, and resistance.

Will it be in the goods section soon? The link to order it at Docuramafilms doesnt mention any of the proceeds going anywhere. I just need a little clarification before I buy it.

If you look at the link that they posted, it connects to the docurama site through an affiliate link. Affiliate systems track where a user enters the site from and credits that affiliate. So it's logical then to say that all clicks from the Pearl Jam link at pearljam.com are counted toward donations to Tomas Young:

I think Tomas Young deserves 100% of the proceeds. He has done so much for Iraq veterans, and he gave every penny of his check from the soundtrack to the Iraq Veterans Against the War foundation. The man deserves more than he will ever get. I'm gonna buy 5 of them just because Tomas gets 25%.
sweet! was wondering about that too! wait till 10club had it on sale, or do the purchase it from that site?
*pre-order purchase just made!
i haven't yet received a confirmation via email on the order.
but did grab a screen shot of the final purchase process receipt.
like i also do when i order anything online.

It's really simple. Tomas Young is the reason the movie exists. He is the one who opened his door to the world to try and show people how wrong this war is. He is no more a patriot than any other US soldier who fought, but some of proceeds from this DVD which is about him and his family, I believe should go to him and maybe take a small burden off him financially.
Then you have the kicker. It's Pearl Jam's decision to do this, not mine or yours. They can do what ever they want, and believe me they don't care what you or I think. They will do what they want, always have and always will.
Did you know Tomas recieved a check for like 100,000 dollars for the soundtrack and every penny went to Iraq Vetrains against The War. The man is not out to get rich, but it's his film and I think he deserves a little piece of the proceeds. Anyway, how and the hell do you know what Tomas will do with the money, he may give it to some charity. It's not your call just because you were in the military. And Ed isn't my daddy, all he did was bring this to my attention, I formed my opinion after watching the man get a catheter put in by his mom on film.
And believe me I don't want to argue about it, but I can't believe you think it is in anyway anyones decision other than Phil Donahue, Tomas Young and Pearl Jam's.
No problem, sorry for the intense response but the film touched me like nothing I have ever seen.
Phil Donahue? Shapin up to be a great agenda flick. I won't be buying this. I will donate some money somehow to veteran causes.
Go Tomas!
That is way too expensive
I suggest supporting the Toronto Screening for Body Of War instead:

You can get 3 tickets for that price and still have funds left over for a donation. Or if you are not able to attend you can contribute to your PJ Karma with a donation

you know i'm down on donating, anyday my friend!
