Don't you think you owe the Citizens of Pittsburgh an Apology - or are you better than them?

You go into these communities with your implied racial hate messages, then hop in your jet and your gone, leaving the Ashley's behind.

Thanks for showing people that their only value is their vote by any means necessary.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

Like anyone who's "employee" fucks up, McCain, should apologize and "take responsibility" for it in some way.

That said, this bizarre incident should not reflect badly on McCain any more than it should have on Obama if the story had been true.

This weirdo decided to try to strike racial fears and be the hero of the McCain campaign. Why? Because she's mentally unstable.

I am pulling for Obama, but I sincerely hope McCain does not lose any votes over this.

Anyone can have kooks support them, but I have to say that McCain seems to attract more than his fair share of them. I think it's a reflection of the fundamentalism that runs through the Republican party and the win-at-any-price philosophy the party has engaged in. It has tacitly encouraged supporters to do anything it takes--just like the major players do. McCain and Palin have been modeling lying and stunts to the faithful, so a jump in a mentally unstable woman's mind from their stunts to hers isn't that surprising. What kind of person idolizes another person, for instance, who is found to be in violation of ethics who states flatly that she has been exonerated by the same findings in direct opposition to reality? The young woman says lying is the most fun you can have. Well, guess what? McCain/Palin are essentially saying the same thing, when you get right down to it.

In my opinion, McCain/Palin DO have a great deal to apologize for, and their first apology should go to their own supporters for being such incredibly poor role models. Rather than running for president, McCain & Palin should simply go get a TV show and call it Ringers for (Jerry) Springer. They're certainly more fit to run a show that depends on subterfuge and tear-downs than they are the country.
  • I'm an Obama supporter and I agree that this one crazy campaign worker's actions should not be an issue against McCain.

It propably wouldn't hurt though for McCain to say he doesn't condone her actions or sentiments since it made the national media. Anything either candidate can do to discourage race baiting and fear is welcome in my book.

I disagree. I think it shows the desperation, hate, racism, and paranoia of Ashley. And her belief that playing on that to the rest of us will have some success.

There have been a lot of whackos coming out for McCain and I almost feel bad for him. Some weirdo says "I am scared to raise my kid with Obama the terrorist as president". Should it reflect on McCain? I don't think so. Most of this shit would not be happening if it was Kerry. It is about race. But it's about race to these weirdos and not necessarily McCain.

I thought Congressman Murtha was the one stirring the racist pot in Western Pennsylvania. You know, when ACTUALLY SAID they were racist. That is a Democrat for you. But that is ignored and easily forgiven by the liberal media elites. The liberal media also ignores the blatant racist voting that occurs when 99% of blacks are voting Obama.

Ha! Racist undertones from the McCain campaign. Please....

What exactly is the problem with as you say 99% of blacks around the country are voting for a black candidate? On an absentee ballot from Florida did you know Allan Keyes is running for President and he's black. Many blacks aren't running to vote for him, grant you he's a Republican but he's black.

I might be that 1% as you say that's not voting for Obama but you're the one who needs the Puhlese to say that voting Obama is somehow racist. Just like how you foolishly jumped aboard that Todd woman being beaten up by a black mann.

Do you have issues when blacks in the past have voted in droves for white candidates? Most blacks appear already to vote the democratic ticket as it is and then you one throws in a Black Presidential candidate for the first time the percentage will be certainly very high like it or not.

    Man get over yourself.

....Without question, blacks are going to vote for Obama in overwhelming numbers; the latest Gallup tracking shows that Obama gets 93% of the black vote when pitted against Republican John McCain in a hypothetical trial heat.

....Results for blacks are based on telephone interviews with 250 blacks, aged 18 and older, conducted May 30-June 2, 2008, some of which were drawn from Gallup's May 30-June 1 national sample and some of which were drawn from a special black oversample conducted May 30-June 2. The combined sample of blacks is weighted to be representative of U.S. blacks. For results based on the total sample, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±7 percentage points.

I wouldn't trust any poll that has a margin of 7 percent. That's a pretty large swing. I think the standard is 3 percent.

It was Acorn who found the fraud and reported it. If it wasn't for Acorn, you wouldn't even know about it. It has shown through investigation that Acorn has been defrauded by lazy employees. The intentions were not to rig an election, they were to make a quick buck by meeting registration quotas with fake names. I'm not saying voter fraud is not happening on both sides, but you really need to let go of the Acorn issue. None of the fake registrations such as Mickey Mouse or Tony Romo are going to show up Nov 4th.

    .

McCain is trying just as hard to win this election as Obama. I think Acorn won't be a factor in this election but a way for reform in the next election because Obama will win this election and many in roads will be made into voter restrictions and registration.

Give a listen to this interview Following Widespread Complaints, New Lawsuit Seeks Paper Balloting in Pennsylvania
AMY GOODMAN: This latest news of ACORN revising the tally from a major national voter registration drive from 1.3 million, saying they registered, down to 450,000, and the whole attack on ACORN, with John McCain saying it’s the largest voter fraud perpetrated in American history.

JOHN BONIFAZ: This is a red herring. This is a total red herring. The fact of the matter is that, whether or not there are fraudulent voter registration forms being submitted by some people who decided they weren’t going to do the work and fill out “Mickey Mouse,” doesn’t mean that Mickey Mouse is showing up to vote on Election Day. There’s no evidence whatsoever, no evidence whatsoever, that that’s going to be happening. In fact, there’s very little evidence that any of these kinds of claims of voter fraud actually occur. When, you know, you look at the overall prosecutions on this, it’s 0.00001 percent of people actually are showing up and committing a felony right there on Election Day by saying I’m somebody that I’m not. It doesn’t happen.

AMY GOODMAN: Do you need an ID to vote?

JOHN BONIFAZ: Well, it depends on what state you’re in. I mean, in certain states, you do. And if you’re a new registrant, then you do in certain states. But—

AMY GOODMAN: What kind of ID?

JOHN BONIFAZ: A photo ID, unfortunately, in some states. I mean, the fact is, is that some of these states have imposed a very restrictive requirement.

AMY GOODMAN: What kind of photo ID?

JOHN BONIFAZ: You know, a driver’s license—it depends. I mean, a lot of people don’t have them. And I think we’re going to see a lot of people not being able to cast a franchise because of those voter ID requirements. But here’s the bottom line, is that this election is only going to be decided by those who are able to access the ballot and to have their votes counted. If you show up on Election Day, you’re eligible to vote, you’re supposed to be on the voting rolls, but you’ve been purged, you’ve been taken off, and you don’t get a ballot, you won’t decide this election. And if you show up on Election Day, and you vote on one of these voting machines that doesn’t possibly count your vote, then you won’t decide this election. So, whatever polls are out there, the most important point is, is that it gets decided by people who are able to vote and have their votes counted.

AMY GOODMAN: John Bonifaz, thanks so much for being with us—

    JOHN BONIFAZ: Thank you.

AMY GOODMAN: —legal director of Voter Action, also the founder of National Voting Rights Institute, actually ran for Secretary of State of the state of Massachusetts. Thanks so much for being with us.

EL PASO -- A former ACORN worker alleges he was fired four years ago by the organization after complaining about voter-registration irregularities to the El Paso County Elections Office.

"I was punished unfairly for being a whistle-blower, because I complained about what I observed at the ACORN office," said Daniel Mahar, a bartender and a stock-market day trader.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office investigated his complaint about alleged voter-registration irregularities but dropped the inquiry after the district attorney's office turned down the case for prosecution.

I believe ACORN hires people to sign up voters on a quota system and some of these desperate souls, in order to meet that quota get carried away and fill out forms merely to get paid!
That's not voter fraud as the republicans would have you believe, because those names being turned in will never make it into the voting booth on election day!
All, voter registration forms are verified before being certified!
The voter registrations are screened prior to certification as legitimate, so there is no fraud whatsoever!

We should not only be concerned with his choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate but rather, we should be alarmed!
Palin's personal attacks on Obama are only half truths and twisted distortions merely to distract voters from the real issues, because McCain/Palin, have no message and no clue!!!!!!!

That said I'm still not voting for Obama or McCain.

Put down the Kool Aid you crazy Obamaholic....I will not get over the ACORN shit because voter fraud is a real problem in this country and Obama's ACORN is a huge contributor to this mess....but you probably do not know that because Obermann doesn’t report it.

Again, isn't it technically voter registration fraud? As in false names are being registered by part time workers to get themselves paid more. How would this affect the actual vote?

Either way, ACORN doesn't mean shit to me in the long run. What I care about a hell of a lot more:
    - ending this terrible war
    - fixing our economy/health care
    - fixing education
    - helping the environment
