Bush's Border Fence Faces More Trouble

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration needs an extra $400 million to complete its fence along the country's southwestern border, and government investigators say that may not even be enough to finish construction by the end of this year.
To complete the 670-mile fence — already half built — the administration has asked Congress to approve the use of $400 million set aside for other programs, mostly surveillance technology projects along the U.S.-Mexico border, Jayson Ahern, the deputy commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, told The Associated Press Tuesday. ...
The fence is not intended to stop illegal immigration altogether, but rather make it more difficult for people to enter the country illegally, administration officials say..
Since 2006, Congress has appropriated $2.7 billion for the fence. But there's no estimate how much the entire system — the physical fence and technology — will cost to build, let alone maintain.

SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

2) Under Bush or McCain, corporate punishment will be symbolic at best.
3) Since it this fence was never intended to keep out illegals
Where is the $2.7 billion? Why even start the project? Why is Bush asking for MORE money for a fence to NOWHERE?
No its to stop your fellow CITIZENS from hiring them. If there were no jobs, then they wouldnt come. But, its always easier to blame those that are looking for the american dream.
i.e.
"Something" to nowhere.
So and so "is a heartbeat away from the president".
By the way how is it a fence to nowhere?
Interesting, do you get headaches or just annoy yourself when you repeat a cliché'?
That also is the worst reason to do so.
Don't kid yourself ... Corporate punishments would probably be fairly symbolic under the Dems, too.
Agreed.
If there is NO FENCE and the FENCE was never intended to STOP illegal entry into the U.S. Where is the 2.7 billion taxpayer dollars and WHY is Bush asking for more money?
agreed ,but then what happens to the millions of illegals allready here do they get deported or legally made citizens ? ,but i do agree with your point and also our government has to be more involved with the central american countries to find a way for them to keep their citizens in their own countries no ? ....
