Eddie Vedder Sonic Youth Cover

Read a while back Eddie was covering Teenage Riot-one of my favorite SY songs. Anyways I was listening to SY today and remembered this, any idea when this is going to come out? I would love to hear it.

    I think it was on the "Hits are for Squares" Album that sonic youth put together...i remember that for some reason

    Hm, searching for that it sounds like it was already released, but I know I would have heard someone talking about this by now.

    ed didn't do a cover. SY did a greatest hits thing where other artists, etc. did the picks and Teenage Riot was ed's pick. So, no, Ed hasn't done a SY cover (unfortunately.)

    Wow really? What a tease.....the tracklisting shows all these songs than has the artist like Radiohead, Flaming Lips, or EV next to it :(

    How bout lets bring back the pre-set and mix it up a lil with some sonic youth next tour ;)

    wasnt this to be released through starbucks or something??

    either way the thought of Ed covering Sonic Youth is very.... interesting, like would he do an accoustic version of it, slowing it down? Or would he try to do it as close to the original as possible?? I guess we will never know.... or will we?!?!?!

    probaly not...?

    My guess is that it would have been him and his telecaster in the same vein as the Christmas single version of Gone.
