And as a Canadian (GASP!) ... Obama's speech on racial issues was really quite amazing. A politician finally tackles an extremely touchy issue like race and actually comes across as balanced and rational about it. He acknowledged that white people might have some valid points and concerns, something that our politically correct era really doesn't allow anymore, while at the same time making it clear that much more work on racial inequality issues needs to happen. I am pretty far from a fanboy, but seriously, the speech was fantastic. He's like a black-and-white cookie from that Seinfeld episode, only he doesn't make you sick. I jest, but I don't know ... Its hard not to buy what this guy stands for, even when you know up front that he's got personally magnetic qualities.

One wonders why the biracial thing gets much less play than the black thing ...
