Not being an american I don't know how true this stuff is but I just came across this list. I mean, what is wrong with people these days? Do these bunch of paedophiles not know how WRONG, on every level, it is to have sexual relations with a child?? And they are running your country!!

OK, I'm currently a registered Democrat and even I gotta say this is ridiculously biased against Republicans. Surely more than a few Dems are guilty of the same crimes. Maybe its more prevelant with Republicans though.

How can it be a joke? I already said I just found it on another site, I have no idea on the truth but for some reason it probably is. I mean these are people that the public are voting for.

To be honest, why is it when republican/conservative people go on about morality people seem to think its ok, like they are predisposed to being moral or something just because they are conservative, yet liberals always get it in the neck over any moral issue. Maybe its a case of shouting loudly about others so no-one will look at them.

That's enough. First of all, many of these listed are "activists." According to some of the articles I read while looking up the above names, the term is very loosely applied, and covers campaign volunteers. How much more catch-all could a description get?

As for Crane's listing, it is HIGHLY convenient of the article writer to overlook Studds' role in all of what transpired in 1983.

And speaking of 1983, could these cases get any more dated?

Don't get me wrong, I detest every action these men committed, and whatever penalty they served, they deserved it. In fact, I wish they could've gotten worse. That being said, this "exhaustive" listing is so ridiculously biased and shamelessly partisan it's not even funny. What I find most objectionable is not the targeting of certain individuals, because hey, they did the crime. What is reprehensible is taking an issue like this and turning it into a way to indict an entire political party based on the actions of a few, some of whom weren't even directly related to the machinations of the party.

If you're going to take up the cause against pedophilia, then take up the cause--it's a worthy one. Don't f-ing use it in bulls*** articles/listings/blogposts like these to gain political capital. :mad:

In North American one in four girls are sexually assaulted before adulthood. It's not just our leaders or republicans who are doing this. It is our brothers, our fathers, our cousins and our neighbours, teachers, clergyfolk, scout leaders, our babysitter's son, etc.

We've got BIG blinders on in this regard--pertaining to the reality of who our offenders are. We can't just project it onto the "bad guys" "out there".

We all contribute to this when we support the objectification of women, and support pornography (male or female) , or give ourselves permission to slap our "brother" on the back when he leers lasciviously at the newest teen pop star. We support it when we tell our children to stop feeling the way they do and to deny their experiences of anything. We support it when we deny our own emotions, because we were taught to as kids, and therefore we treat human beings as objects, on any level. We've got some very serious issues in our society that perpetuates this ugliness. I say lets stand up and own it rather than point the finger.

porn is inanimate object; yes, there are people in it, but for myself, i don't really find its existence that threatening...

exactly; if a person is an adult, what he or she does is private unless of course they are serving the people; then during the duration of that period, persons should try to be good citizens; and refrain from any extra curricular activities for their recreation time, but most definitely NOT at the taxpayers expernse..i have sat in court many times and watched the d.a.'s make tea plans with colleagues in between court proceedings? it pisses me off to see some one who has power to lock me away, make personal plans while in a public arena...ah yes! my tax payer dollars at good use....

This is a good post. Of course the list is exhaustive against republicans but I don't believe they are all like this, just like I don't believe those on the left are saints either. I was just shocked at how many of them seem to have done this particular type of transgression.

Sorry but your WRONG. The point is, he was asked.
How was it relevant? Two consenting adults, One is cheating on his wife. In this situation, everyone lies at first. He should have never been asked such a question under oath. It had nothing to do with anything. No laws were broken. Not like these pervs.
