roses are gorgeous naturally for sure, but i guess I'm kinda quirky, i have a soft spot for bright contrasting colors, i think they look neat, not something I'd use for a wedding, or prom, but maybe a birthday or something, its the explosion of color I like in them :ugeek: but i checked it out and they run for about 90 bucks for a DOZEN! thats just ridiculous!
between the honeysuckle that grows wild and climbs freely in the woods
to the jasmine in bloom the breeze is so sweet just close your eyes and breath deep aaahhhhh
Beautiful! mine are not quite ready, soon, that is the hardy hibiscus no?[/quote]
Thank you. It is. It's a rare hibiscus as well -- the petals are ribbed (I hate that word )
These are from last year. Mine usually blooms in late July, early August.

oh my,
I remember the very first time I saw a lilly pad in the real world. I had a childhood book that had pictures,
not real pictures but pretty bright drawings,
and I didn't know they were a real flower til I was a teen floating in a lake at my boyfriends cottage. It was a surreal event to realize they were real, right there floating next to me:D
just beautiful
Day lily just about ready to go.... Tiki guy's waiting patiently
Now starts lily time! I hear it I feel it!

Love the plants that look like fireworks in this photo:
One of the lower, shade gardens along the river. Notice the little cabin?
